Specification

0001] The present disclosure described herein, in general, relates to the
assembly of vehicle components with each other and with a vehicle.
5 [0002] In particular, the present disclosure relates to an assembly of a gas
cylinder frame and a spare tire holder in a vehicle such that the assembly is rigid
which in turn helps in the absorption of load efficiently.
BACKGROUND
[0003] Various vehicle components like a gas cylinder frame and a spare tire
10 holder are often joined or connected before assembling in a rear vehicle floor to
save assembly time, facilitate ease of assembly and disassembly. In an existing
state of the art, the gas cylinder frame and the spare tire holder are connected or
assembled in such a manner that a pivot connection is formed between them. The
pivot connection helps in wrapping or folding either of the components within the
15 other component to ease the removal or insertion of both the components at the
same time from or into the vehicle in a folded state using the rear passenger door
of the vehicle and then unfolding the components for assembly. In a preferred or
desired aspect, the spare tire holder is folded into the gas cylinder frame owing to
its small size than the gas cylinder frame. The drawback with the existing state of
20 the art is that a rigid or tight assembly is not achieved between the components
and the rear vehicle floor that can absorb various load acting upon it. An obvious
solution to such a problem is to assemble the components, i.e., the gas cylinder
frame and the spare tire holder separately without connecting them but the
solution will then not be able to facilitate ease in the insertion or assembling these
25 components inside the vehicle in a prespecified time.
3
[0004] In view of the above, there is a need to provide an alternate solution
wherein the gas cylinder frame and the spare tire holder can be stayed connected
for ease in the insertion or assembly and also provides rigidity to their assembly.
OBJECTS OF THE DISCLOSURE
5 [0005] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one
embodiment herein satisfy, are listed hereinbelow.
[0006] It is a general or primary object of the present disclosure to provide an
assembly of a gas cylinder frame and a spare tire holder that provides rigidity after
mounting it over a rear vehicle floor and also enables folding of the spare tire
10 holder within the gas cylinder frame to provide ease in an insertion or removal of
the assembly into or from the vehicle.
[0007] It is another object of the present disclosure to provide rigidity to an
assembly of the above-mentioned assembly of a gas cylinder frame and a spare
tire holder with a rear support panel and vehicle floor so that a load can be
15 absorbed efficiently.
[0008] These and other objects and advantages will become more apparent
when reference is made to the following description and accompanying drawings.
