Abstract: ABSTRACT ASSEMBLY UNIT AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A BATTERY CELL The subject matter relates to an assembly unit (202) and a method for 5 integrating a first electrode plate (208-1) and a second electrode plate (208-2) on a jelly roll (204) of a battery cell. The assembly unit (202) includes a first electrode plate holder (212-1) and a second electrode plate holder (212-2), both of which are positioned to have a common lateral central axis. The first electrode plate holder (212-1) and the second electrode plate holder (212-2) are to receive the first 10 electrode plate (208-1) and the second electrode plate (208-2) and guide light rays from welding units (218) for simultaneous welding and impinging of the first electrode plate (208-1) and the second electrode plate (208-2) on the jelly roll (204).
