Background of the invention:
Astrology is nothing but a pseudoscience that gives divine information about human and terrestrial events by studying the movements and relative position of celestial objects. There is no scientific proof found for the astrologer’s claim’s but still some people believe that astrology is scientific. The astrology is based on the stars and planets which have some influence on human affairs and terrestrial events.
Astrology is concentrated about the positions of the stars and movements of the planets of the solar system, asteroids and other stars. But it doesn’t have a whole influence on the events, lives and behaviour of people. Now a day’s astrologers see astrology as a symbolic language.
Vedic astrology believes on one type of calendar which different from our regular calendar. This type of calendar includes traditional units of timekeeping, present important dates and their calculations. This calendar keeps tracks of position of sun, moon and other planets with respect to earth. And show which day or particular time periods is good or bad for particular work.
Vedic astrology believes more than 84 lakhs Gods and Goddesses in the universe, which is why various festivals take place in a year’s time. Every festival is associated with a particular God or Goddess. Vedic Calendar not only mention hindu festivals but also provides information about other community festivals such as Muslim, Sikh and Christian festivals.
There is invention which has calendar features which is patented, such as;
US patent application US6820096B1 by Dimitri Kanevsky, Mariusz Sabath, Alexander Zlatsin discloses Smart calendar. The idea of this invention is to be able to create an external calendar that is connected to the Internet which can provide instant copies of the calendar, rewrite information on one calendar to another, and create a hassle-free way to check calendar dates. One way this is done is by inserting a small digital chip into a calendar which allows the calendar to be connected to the Internet and to perform certain operations. The calendar will have a screen and a special digital pen which allows a user to fill in information (dates, events, appointments) into special date boxes.
Though there is prior art Smart calendar, but it does not give perfect solution for mobile application for astrology calendar.
Big data includes processes such as analyse, systematically extract information from, or otherwise deal with data sets that are too large or complex to be dealt with by traditional data-processing application software. Astrology is reflection of predictive analytics, for that they use pre-existing or historical data to predict future events or occurrences. It use models to capture important trends and are then applied to current data to predict what will or could happen with that set of data.

Fig 1 illustrates example of astrology calendar. It shows current vedic month/year with regular calendar.
The present invention discloses astrological calendar system which provides astrology calendar to user as a mobile application. The system includes astrology calendar refers vedic calendar. Vedic calendar consists of a set which includes various lunisolar calendars which are traditionally used in the Indian subcontinent and South-east Asia and also includes further regional variations of social and Hindu religious purposes.
The embodiment of invention adopts a similar concept for timekeeping based on sidereal year for solar cycle and adjustment of lunar cycles in every three years. It is differing in their relative emphasis to moon cycle or the sun cycle. It has different names of months and the New Year to start as compare to regular one.
There are so many regional calendars. Out of which some are most studied and known Hindu calendars such as Shalivahana Shaka found in South India, Vikram Samvat (Bikrami) found in Nepal, North and Central regions of India, Tamil calendar used in Tamil Nadu, and the Bengali calendar used in Bengal – all of which emphasize the lunar cycle. Generally, their new year starts in spring.
The present invention includes astrology calendar which not only maintains the integrity of the lunar month but also insert an extra full month by complex rules after every few years which ensure that the festivals and crop-related rituals fall in the appropriate season. The main purpose of system of astrology calendar is to see Hindu festival dates. The present invention application is also important to the practice of Hindu astrology and zodiac system.
The present invention discloses astrology calendars which includes some special months and some special systems/methods such as;
Amanta and Purnimanta systems – Mainly two traditions have been followed in the Indian subcontinent with respect to lunar months. These two traditions are Amanta tradition which ends the lunar month on no moon day, and other one Purnimanta tradition which ends it on full moon day. Generally, Amavasyant (Amanta, Mukhyamana) tradition is followed by all Indian states.
Paksha - Every month in the calendar have two fortnights called pak?a (means "side"). One fortnight is the bright, waxing half where the moon size grows and it ends in the full moon. This is called Gaura Paksha or Shukla Paksha. The other half is the darkening, waning fortnight which ends in the new moon. This is called Vadhya Paksha or Krishna Paksha.
The Hindu festivals typically are either on or the day after the full moon night or the darkest night (amavasya, ?????????), except for some associated with Krishna, Durga or Rama. The lunar months of the hot summer and the busy major cropping-related part of the monsoon season typically do not schedule major festivals.
The present invention discloses the astrology calendar which have 12 months as per vedic Vedic lunar calendar. These 12 months are;
Chaitra, Vaisakha, Jyeshta, Ashada, Shraavana, Bhadra, Ashwina, Kartika, Margasirsa, Pausha, Magha and Phalghuna.
