Abstract: An audio attachment device for a vehicle comprising an audio source for providing an audio output, an adapter means for connection to audio output, a power amplifier to amplify the audio output signal, an auxiliary input pin means to provide connection between the adapter and power amplifier, a USB port for charging the audio source; and a secondary adapter means to provide connection between the audio source and USB port.
Audio attachment device for a vehicle
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an "Audio attachment device for a vehicle" and more particularly this invention relates to an attachment device for receiving audio signal and a gadget charger adapted for a two wheeled or three wheeled vehicle.
Background of the Invention
In the existing audio player system provided in any two wheeler, whenever a storage device with MP3 format is connected to the USB port, digital input is fed to the MP3 player decoder/Micro controller. The decoded signal from MP3 player decoder/ Micro controller is fed to D-A Converter / Micro controller and it is fed to the Power amplifier. Previous or next song shall be selected in the MP3 player using a forward/reverse control circuit. The FM radio circuit which is connected to antenna and tuning circuit also feeds its output to the power amplifier. Antenna receives the FM signal from a FM transmitter and tuning circuit is used to volume output of the power amplifier. Amplified signal from power amplifier is fed to speakers and ear phone socket. The disadvantage with the existing system is that it requires a decoder as a separate unit and even a separate circuit to control forward reverse and volume control, thereby increasing the overall cost of the music system. The other disadvantage with this system is, there is a risk of damage to the other data other than music file stored in the storage device.
Hence the objective of the present invention is to overcome the above problems associated with the prior arts.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention has been devised in view of the above problems and it is therefore an object of the present invention is to adapt the music system to play songs from electronic gadgets having audio output port.
The other object of the present invention is to eliminate the requirement of any special or MP3 decoder and USB driver to play songs.
Another object of the present invention is to provide charging arrangement for the electronic gadget. This objective is achieved by connecting the electronic gadget to the USB port through an adopter.
Further object of the present invention is to make the audio system cost effective without the need for any USB
Further scope of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.
Brief description of the drawing
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawings which are given by way of illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein
FIG. 1 is a left side view of a two wheeled motor vehicle.
FIG. 2 shows the block diagram of audio attachment device according to the present invention.
Detail Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to an "Audio attachment device for a vehicle" and more particularly this invention relates to an attachment device for receiving audio signal and a gadget charger adapted for a two wheeled or three wheeled vehicle.
For the purpose of illustration a scooter of the general type is illustrated for the application. Embodiment of the present invention now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description, "front", "rear", "upper", "lower", "right", "left" and "bottom" represent directions viewed from the perspective of the vehicle rider.
Referring to Figure 1, the reference number 1 denotes a front wheel, 2 denotes a front fork, 3 denotes a front fender, 4 denotes a front cover, 5 denotes a glove box area, 6 denotes a handle bar cover, 7 denotes a headlight, 8 denotes a handle bar ,17 denotes a rear fender and 18 denotes tail lamp.
The center of the body forms a low floor board 9 for functioning as a part for putting feet and a under cowl 10 which is located below the rider's seat and covers at least a part of the engine, The under cowl is made up of metal or resin. The under cowl is hinged to the seat 11. A utility box 12 opens from the rear end to hinged portion. The utility box 12 is provided under the seat extending longitudinally of a vehicle body and the inside of the utility box has a large capacity so that a large article can be housed. A main frame 14 extended along the center of the body before and behind and made of a metallic pipe and is provided under the floor board 9. A swing type power unit 13 is coupled to the rear end of the main frame 14.
A rear wheel 15 is supported on one side of the rear end of the swing type power unit 13. The swing type power unit 13 is suspended in the rear of a body frame.
The side covers 16 both on left and right sides, covers the utility box 12 and other parts of the vehicle, thereby providing a good appearance to the vehicle.
An audio attachment device according to the present invention is located in the glove box area 5 of a scooter type motorcycle.
Referring to Figure 2, the electronic gadget (or audio source) with audio output is connected to the auxiliary input pin 201 through an adapter 202. The audio signal received from the electronic gadget is amplified using a power amplifier 203 and this amplified signal is transmitted to the speakers 204 on left and right located on the top of the panel rear.
The system also has an inbuilt FM radio unit. The FM radio unit comprises an antenna 206 to receive the FM signal from a FM transmitter, a tuning circuit 207 used to select the required channel and wherein the FM transmitter with the tuning circuit 207 is coupled with the FM radio circuit 208. The output from the FM radio unit 208 is fed to the power amplifier 203. The amplified signal from the said power amplifier 203 is fed to speaker(s) 204 and earphone socket(s) 205.
The charging of the electronic gadget, which requires charging voltage of 5V through USB port, is charged with the help of USB port 209. The electronic gadget which requires charging is connected to the USB port through an secondary adapter 210.
The invention being thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the claims.
