Authentication In A Wireless Power System

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for managing authentication in a wireless power system. Each wireless power apparatus (such as a Power Transmitter and a Power Receiver) might implement an authentication of the other wireless power apparatus. In some implementations, one or both of the wireless power apparatuses can abbreviate or omit a subsequent authentication of the other wireless power apparatus after a first successful authentication. For example, a first wireless power apparatus can store first identification information associated with a second wireless power apparatus in a local memory of the first wireless power apparatus after successfully authenticating the second wireless power apparatus. Later, when the first wireless power apparatus detects the second wireless power apparatus and receives the same first identification information from the second wireless power apparatus, the first wireless power apparatus can refrain from performing a further authentication of the second wireless power apparatus.
