Auto Recovery Circuit Breaker And Auto Recovery Circuit Breaker With Transmitter
Abstract: A method of automatic linear power factor correction is disclosed. The method includes sensing current flowing through the circuit, and sensing a voltage across a line wire and a neutral wire of the circuit using a divider network or a PT. The method further includes dynamically determining a power factor feedback, generating a Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) pulse based on the power factor feedback, and passing the PWM pulse through a switch. The switch may be connected in series with the capacitor and is configured to control the current flowing through the capacitor, and hence change the resistor-capacitor (RC) effect through the capacitor based on the PWM pulse. This RC effect will create a leading PF to compensate the lagging power factor produced by the inductive load present in the supply lines. A microcontroller may provide PWM pulse by PID algorithm for making the power factor nearly to unity.
