Abstract: The present invention discloses the automated system for hydroponic farming with Internet of Things using Voice command for ordering. All sensors, controlling devices, wi-fi modem, any electronic computing device and voice application and Wi-Fi modem are installed with hydroponic farming. The reading of all devices and sensors are sent to cloud with Wi-Fi modem. As data changes from devices alert sent to grower on computing device with required data of parameters. Grower with help of voice application, order to set values to parameters. And keep eye on automated hydroponic farming system.
Claims:We Claim,
1) The automated system for hydroponic farming using IoT comprising of;
a. Any electronic computing device having internet connectivity
b. The various sensors such as temperature, humidity, pH level checking, and many more (not limited to this sensor only)
c. The various cameras for capturing of crop images
d. The various controlled units for adjusting various parameters
e. Wi-Fi modem for connectivity of all devices and sensors to cloud
f. Voice application for ordering the system
2) The system claimed in claim 1, is voice operated system. Person with physical disabilities can easily operate the system
3) The system claimed in claim 1, grower can access system remotely as well.
, Description:TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION
The disclosed invention is related to Hydroponic farming. It Is a system and method for making hydroponic farming automated by using Internet if Things (Iot) operated by voice commands.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
The basic needs of human are air, water, food in order to survive. These things are limited in nature and thus humans are dependent upon the optimization of land area and the preservation of biodiversity. The human population is increasing. An ever-increasing demand for food species is implied, and it is estimated that food production will have to be doubled in order to compensate and provide availability to all.
Currently it is very difficult to do farming in traditional way. Because land for agriculture is limited but population growth is increasing.
The new technique gets introduced to farming, “Hydroponic farming”.
Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture, which is a method of growing plants without soil by instead using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent. The main feature of hydroponic farming is, it is soilless farming.
The nutrients that the plants normally derive from the soil are simply dissolved into water instead, and depending on the type of hydroponic system used, the plant's roots are suspended in, flooded with or misted with the nutrient solution so that the plant can derive the elements it needs for growth.
One of the best features of hydroponic farming is, it requires 90%-95% less water than conventional farming. And it can be placed anywhere as no soil is required.
In hydroponic farming, growers have total control over the climate – temperature, humidity, light intensification, the composition of air. Currently in hydroponic farming for controlling purpose, growers have to check the parameters values time to time.
Also, Growers should have the proper experiences and technical knowledge about hydroponic farming. Otherwise, Mistakes in setting up the systems and plants growth ability in this soilless environment and which end up ruining the whole progress.
Here the solution of automated hydroponic farming using IOT come in picture which is the solution of above issues. The disclosed invention automates the hydroponic farming with the help of IoT.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the presented system is automated hydroponic farming by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Another object of this invention is, it is voice operated system.
Another object of this invention is, with IoT, it can keep eye on growth of plants.
Other object is, as it is automated with IoT, sensors and electronic devices are present to automate the system.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses, the automated method for hydroponic farming using IoT. The hydroponic farming grower has to install type of sensors such as temperature sensor, humidity sensor, lighting sensor, soil moisture and all system set up such as water supply system, temperature control system, nutrients system, lightening system, pest distribution system are used to automate the hydroponic system. These sensors providing data regarding the parameters required for growing the plants in hydroponic farming. The system collects data from a sensor hub which includes a meteorological data acquisition system and an environmental data collection system. The system also monitors elements (lighting, humidity, temp, soil moisture, etc) that influence plant growth. The system has cameras installed near crop, so by using camera, it can keep eye on growth of plant in hydroponic farming.
The computer systems and controllers are capable of permitting farmers and farming business to exercise extremely precise control over almost every aspect of a farming operation, such as fertilizing, planting, spraying or harvesting crops.
And providing time to time information to grower. Grower can set all parameters by giving voice command.
The main add on advantage of this system is it is voice operated. That means all the commands to the devices and sensors are given by voice command.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses, the automated hydroponic farming using IoT, operated by voice command.
The hydroponic farming using IoT is comprising of components such as,
Any electronic device – for connection with multiple devices by using IoT
Wi-Fi modem – for IoT connection with any electronic device
Power Supply – for electric supply for every sensor, controlling units.
Sensors – The number of sensors is used for Hydroponic farming.
Temperature sensor- used to sense temperature around plant
Humidity sensor- used to sense humidity around plant
pH level monitoring - check pH level of solution
nutrient monitoring- check the level of nutrient required of plant
Pest detecting unit - check the requirement of pest control
LED control unit - check the requirement of light to the plant
Cameras – Number of cameras are installed to capture the growth of plant
Controlling units -Controls the various parameter for hydroponic farming, such as
Temperature control unit - it changes the temperature as per instruction
Humidity adjustment unit - it changes the level of humidity as per instruction
pH Up/Down pump - it adjusts the pH level of solution
supply unit - supply nutrient to plant
Pest elimination unit - use of pesticides and herbicide are done by this unit
Internet of Things (IoT) - The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction
The present invention discloses the system comprising of the all sensors, cameras, controlling units and electronic computing device connected to Internet of Things (IoT) via Wi-Fi modem.
The present invention which has IoT system, consists of sensors/devices which “talk” to the cloud through Wi-Fi connectivity. Once the data gets to the cloud, software processes it and then it decides to perform an action, such as sending an alert to grower on electronic computing device. And as per voice commands of grower it would adjusts the sensors/devices without manual intervention.
The present invention is comprising of following steps such as;
Step 1) Install all the sensors, cameras, controlling units, wi-fi modem to the hydroponic farming.
Step 2) provide power supply to all of above said devices.
Step 3) all devices are attached to electronic device using IoT with the help of wi-fi
Step 4) The initial reading of all devices is recorded and stored on cloud
Step 5) the reading of all devices is checked by grower after periodical interval
Step 6) As per value of particular sensor or cameras, grower by using voice command order the system to adjust the control unit as per correct value.
Step 7) System responded to voice instruction by changing its control unit values.
Step 8) With the help of cameras, images are observed at regular time interval.
The above are generalized steps to follow mention invention.
The essential wireless IoT system requires only a few components. They may be purchased individually, but it’s more common these days for a farmer to acquire a single integrated system that delivers all of the needed elements, in order to ensure a seamless deployment. The key feature of the system is a wireless controller that pulls data from various sensors and monitors, and delivers it to the end user—typically the grower.
The system also includes various sensors designed to track environmental factors, such as heat, temperature, and humidity. Other sensors may track pH in the nutrient mix or monitor water levels across the hydroponic grow. This ability to remotely monitor water quality is of critical importance. In traditional farming, plants take in nutrients from the earth. Hydroponically grown plants pull their nutrients from enriched water, which must be closely monitored so that nutrient levels never drop too low or rise toxically high.
Setting up a well-regulated hydroponic system can take a lot of time and requires some finesse. Some growers may find the need to constantly monitor and balance pH and nutrient levels daunting, but wireless can help overcome these challenges.
A pre-configured wireless IoT system with all the needed components can simplify the process of getting a hydroponic grow up and running. Over the long term, wireless control significantly eases the management burden, making it possible to achieve positive outcomes while lowering the overall time and effort required to sustain a successful grow.
The unique feature of the presented system, is its voice command to control the system.
When cloud send alert to grower that the values of parameters are changed and need to update as per requirement, then grower by using voice commands order to system to adjust the parameter values. For example, cloud send grower message that recorded temperature is 35 C, but required temperature value must be 25. Then grower order system saying “set temperature 25 C” and the temperature-controlled unit will set temperature to 25 C.
There are some products of automated hydroponic farming device also available in market. Hydrobot is one of the examples. Hydrobot is small device that allows to automate the hydroponic system.
