Abstract: The present invention discloses the system of automated measurement construction using augmented reality technology. The all data related to various measurement is inputted to database. The user opens the application of project planning via smart phone or tab or in case of AR smart glass, user just wear smart glass. Focused the AR device on particular built up area. Sensor senses measurement of built up area. It Compares the sensed measurement with model measurement. And if there is any mistake then alert would send to inspection in charge.

, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to the field of computer graphics, and more specifically, to a method and system for automated measurement in construction using augmented reality technology.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Measurement is the transformation of drawn information into descriptions and quantities, undertaken to value, cost, and price for construction work for enabling effective management.
The Accurate Measurements in Construction is one of the most important aspects to ensuring that a construction project runs smoothly. Precise readings could save huge amounts of time, labour and money for people in the building trade.
From past to current measurement has be done manually. In the project planning all measurements are drawn on paper sheet. While actual construction these measurements are follow to build measured building. But sometimes it may happen the standard measurement and build measurement are different. At that time after late stage it get noticed. At that time to modify this work is hectic and time consuming. All the work related to it is repeated. It has been wasting of time, money and labour. Manually there is no solution for this.
The present invention provide solution to above problem. With the help of augmented reality technology, the automated measurement system in construction is achieved. Within a second, this invention check measurement and remark whether this is as per standard measurement or not.
Augmented reality technology is very helpful in construction sector. With the help of AR (Augmented Reality) technology construction team can see the real time visualization of building from 2-dimensional drawing.
During the construction process, with the help of AR device, inspection of all measurement can be done.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, automated measurement in construction using augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, AR (augmented reality) enabled devices are needed (such as smart phone with high definition, AR headset).
Another object of the invention is, helps construction team to inspect all the building measurement at real time.
Another object of the invention is, it detects any minute error at early stage of construction, which prevent big loss.

Any machine which is used in construction site, would be focused with AR enabled device such as smart phone, tab or AR headset, AR smart glass. The sensor on AR device senses the measurement of building area (such as door measurement, window measurement, etc). Check that measurement with drawn measurement. If there is any difference, then alert would be sent to inspection manager.

Databases – contains data of measurement of all project area with all specification
Any AR enabled device such as smart phone or tab or smart glass
Databases stored data about all the measurement of building.
The present invention implemented in a combination of both hardware and software.
The present invention system is comprising of;
Step 1) The all data is inputted to databases
Step 2) The user opens the application of project planning
(or in case of AR smart glass, user just wear smart glass)
Step 3) Focused the AR device on particular built up area
Step 4) AR Device sense the measurement of built up area
Step 5) AR device compare the sensor data and design measurement
Step 6) If both are not equal then alert would be sent to inspection in charge
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
Augmented reality device has the ability to measure the physical properties of a space such as height, depth, and width. Fieldworkers can automate measurements on-site using augmented reality device.
By wearing an augmented reality headset, workers would be able to tap to measure the built components and compare them against the measurements specified in the models. This helps workers find inconsistencies in the structures in the initial stages of construction and rectify them at the earliest.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
With the help of the present invention, inspection team can get alert for any mistake during actual construction. Only one person without any measurement kit can find out whether there is all measurement of built of area is ok or not. So, it is actually time consuming.
Augmented reality technology doesn’t deduce the labour/worker, but it reduces the time required for their conventional method of construction. It helps worker to work smartly.
By the coming year Augmented Reality definitely be major part of construction sector.
