Field of the Invention
The Field of invention is related to artificial intelligence in automated physical evaluation and sports injury assessment.
Background of the invention
Sports have a great importance in each and every country starting from zonal games to Olympics. Sports men health has an impact in profit or loss revenue. The athletics performance brings pride to the country and so their performance depends on their health. Medical diagnosis has a challenging task in identification of risk factors in sportsmen as there is an interaction between their body and the mind.
Instead of facing the downfall in sports, the injury should be diagnosed earlier and get cured. There are many injuries that may be caused to the sportsmen. There may be a chance of injury in lateral elbow. In this injury there will be no inflammation like swelling, overheating, redness, etc. But there will be a pressure pain. Most of the sportsmen will face ankle pain. Sportsmen experience swelling and pressure pain at lateral malleolus. Movement is reduced because of the pain. Some may have pain in thigh. There will be a pressure pain in upper thigh and only light exercises movement can be done. Some may also face swollen knee, headache, mild concussion, etc.
The diagnosis has to be made in prior getting worse. When an athletes have any problem as said above, proper diagnosis has to be made and should approach the concern health expert. If suggested with home remedy, he can take up the proper medication. If any physiotherapy suggested, it can be taken with proper care to become better. Even if it needs a complete rest, it also should be given to cure the injury. This is because, the performance of the sportsperson have great importance in exhibiting the pride of a country.
The health status of the athletes is gathered and processed with artificial intelligence. For communication of datas, there is a need of fibre optic internet connection. It is more reliable and very fast in communication of information. Where there are number of users that use the internet services, the fibre optic connection is the most efficient on performance.
As per the users request, the transfer of information to storage unit requires a common gateway platform. It connects all external sources of information to the cloud to store a large volume of data.
The athlete has to be examined physically whether he is fit to take up the training and the following match. He should also be technically checked whether he is able to cooperate with the team members that he is mentally fit or he is facing any trauma. He should be examined psychologically on various dynamics parameters to be fit for the sports.
The sportsmen would undergo lot of stress because of his workload on training programme, the urge to win the match, smooth understanding between the team and the coach, etc. So he should go through the stress analysis test.

The athlete heart beat may be easily prone to dynamic behaviour soon due to the stress he have. His pulse and heart beat rate has to be monitored by wearable sensors often and should be recorded for observation.
The risk prediction can be done by artificial intelligence with machine learning to make an accurate prediction within a short period of time. The professionals in athletics would require the correlated information of the physical observation and technical observation of an athlete and would make them to take important decision in selecting the athletes' for the match. A systematic process of monitoring the health status of the athlete with recording of the health status and analysis to make prediction has to be done. This is possible with easy approach by deploying the artificial intelligence in the physical evaluation and the sports injury assessment.
Objects of the Invention
The first objective is to gather health status of athlete from cameras and wearable sensors. The second objective is to pre-process the observed information. The third objective is to deploy artificial intelligence for physical evaluation and sports injury assessment.
Based on the medical doctor fitness report on athletes' health status, it will be easier to make a decision in selection process of player for the sports. By technological deployment in the sports fields, the results will be more accurate than the one given by the traditional observation and analysis. By using wearable gadgets and cameras, data collection is done. The basic details of the athlete like his name, age, gender, etc., are also has to be collected. From the health monitoring, the health metrics are also need to be gathered. The information is pre-processed and feature extraction is done. It is then stored in cloud through the gateway interface. Artificial intelligence with machine learning is deployed to compute on the datasets that are in cloud. The predicted results are visualized in smart display devices to the athlete professionals. It displays the risk analysis on the athlete and concerned medical care can be given to the athlete.
Summary of the Invention
Many traditional methods exists for analysing the physical fitness and risk assessment of the sportsmen, but technology involvement makes the prediction accuracy and performance more reliable and fast. Initially the information of the athlete like name, gender, age, etc., are collected and recorded in the database. The monitoring health parameters like temperature, pressure, stress, heart beat rate, pulse rate, oxygen level, etc., also need to be recorded in the database. They are gathered by wearable gadgets. The visual data about the athlete are captured from the camera. This will be able to identify the trauma. The information that is collected need to be pre-processed and the desired feature extraction is performed. The information is then sent to the cloud platform through the gateway. It is like a database where it keeps the record of the athlete in storage and can be updated in future to be an electronic medical report. The artificial intelligence with machine learning performs the regression analysis on the health status for diagnosis prediction. The risk analysis results are visualized to be taken care in the beginning itself so that worse can be avoided. From the visualization results, the sportsman professionals

can contact the appropriate medical supervisor to check on the athlete and undergo the appropriate treatment to overcome the injury physically and mentally. This method gives an improved performance in the prediction of injury and physical evaluation so that the selection process for the match or athletics would be easier in examining the athletes. Based on the health report, the training period is also scheduled and the workload can be allocated to the athlete to take up the training session with complete dedication.

Detailed Description of the Invention
Fig. 1 illustrates the process flow diagram of using artificial intelligence machine learning for automated physical evaluation and sport injury assessment. Manual physical examination of athlete by correlating the athlete present and past medical records takes more time and also it may not be accurate. There are many traditional techniques for checking the physical health and risk evaluation of the athlete, but technology deployment makes the prediction automated with more accuracy. This method shows the performance more easy and reliable. It also consumes time in processing the information. The data collection or the input data are gathered from previous electronic health report with basic details and observation on the athlete by using wearable sensor gadgets and camera. The input data that is observation need to be pre-processed to be processed further. The feature extraction has to be performed on the pre-processed data collected from various information sources. The extraction feature dataset has to be stored in a database like cloud platform through the gateway interface. The data communication in this process use fibre optic internet communication. In cloud, the athlete health records are stored for long term and so that it can be updated whenever new observation is done. Sportsmen need monitoring health status very often and so cloud is the best storage for handling the database of electronic health records or physical examination. The artificial intelligence with machine learning is used for diagnosis prediction. The results of physical examination and the risk metrics analysis are visualized to the sportsmen and their professionals so that proper care can be taken. From the prediction results, appropriate medical practitioner can be assigned to examine on the athlete to undergo appropriate treatment for the injury. The athlete has to be treated physically and mentally. This is an improved performance for prediction injury and risk assessment so that it makes the selection process for the athletics easier. Depending on the health status, the training workload is scheduled to the athlete to undergo a complete dedicated training.
Fig. 2 illustrates the data need to gathered in the automated physical evaluation and the risk assessment using artificial intelligence for the sportsmen. Here the data collection is very important as there should not be any error or deviation in the observation of data. Whenever there is a physical examination, the basic details of the athlete are gathered and checked or previous record in the database. If not found earlier, new record is created or else, the information are updated with the previous record. As the mind and the body are correlated, any health problem will be automatically reflected in the body will affect the mindset of the athlete and they would not be able to concentrate on their performance.

This may bring a downfall of the athlete in their sports career. Even the sportsmen may face trauma or headache due to stress or pressure he has during his training period due to various reasons. So a very careful observation of health metrics like pressure, temperature, pulse rate, stress, oxygen level, heart beat rate, etc., are done. Wearable sensor gadgets are used to monitor all these metrics for the athlete. The visual image data that are captured using the camera will be able to identify the trauma. All these information has to be pre-processed, extracted features and stored in cloud through gateway.
