BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art. [0003] Effective hand washing is the need of the hour mainly after current pandemic as only 5% of total population does it correctly. It is known that the immune system fights with organisms like viruses, bacteria and protozoa etc everyday to keep us healthy. There is therefore an ongoing fight between various organisms and our own immune system, wherein if the number of organisms is less than critical value our body owns and we stay healthy, whereas if the load of number of organisms is higher than the threshold, our body cannot fight with the larger number of organisms and as a result we fall sick.
[0004] Route of inoculation is different for different organisms, wherein, for instance, inhalation or ingestion are exemplary inoculation routes. Majority of the organisms enter our body through oral route mainly via our unclean hand, and as a result hand hygiene is among the most important factors to reduce total load of organism in our body.
[0005] WHO has proposed six steps of hand washing to clean hand correctly for medical fraternity, which includes hand scrubbing for 20 seconds minimum following the below steps:
a. Rub hands palm to palm
b. Right palm over left dorsum with interlaced fingers and vice versa
c. Palm to palm with fingers interlaced
d. Backs of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked
e. Rotational rubbing of left thumb clasped in right palm and vice versa

f Rotational rubbing, backwards and forwards with clasped fingers of right hand in left palm and vice versa [0006] There is therefore a need in the art for an automatic device that can seamlessly and automatically follow all these steps in an intelligent matter within the specified time to get the intended result of ideal clean hands.

[0028] The present disclosure relates to an automatic device that can seamlessly and automatically follow all the proposed hand-washing steps in an intelligent matter within the specified time to get the intended result of ideal clean

hands. In an aspect, the hand scrubbing for predefined time of approximately 20 seconds is followed by hand washing with water jets for a first predefined time such as 10 seconds, followed by hand drying for a second pre-defined time such as 10 seconds.
[0029] The present disclosure relates to a device for automatic hand scrubbing, washing, and drying, said device comprising: a receptacle (102) for allowing a user to measure size of his/her hand, based on which a scrubbing glove-shaped faucet of measured hand size is activated such that the activated scrubbing glove-shaped faucet appropriately grips the user's hand; wherein said activated scrubbing glove-shaped faucet comprises a left hand washing chamber (104) and a right hand washing chamber (106), each of said left and right hand washing chamber comprising four walls (i, ii, iii and iv) with an upper zone (104A/106A) and a lower zone (104B/106B) such that palmer surface of said user's hand is in touch with the walls, and back of the user's hand remains in open space inside the respective washing chamber so as to accommodate user's palm to allow one or more brushes to come in exact spaces of the palm to scrub/clean specified areas ( palmar surface, dorsal surface, inter digital spaces , tip of fingers etc. simultaneously )without hurting the hands.
[0030] In an aspect, after a first predefined timeframe of scrubbing /washing one side of the palm through glove-shaped faucet of first wall (i), glove-shaped faucet of the opposite wall (ii) accommodates back of the hand to enable back side hand scrubbing/washing to be done by the device for a second pre-defined timeframe.
[0031] In an aspect, the device is configured to allow both hands to rest in medial side faucets of wall (i), said faucets comprising one or more knobs to work as rest for the hand and having a plurality of rotating brushes to clean inter-digital web space.
[0032] In another aspect, the size of the plurality of rotating brushes (a, b, c, d) is based on the user's hand size measured on the receptacle and said plurality of rotating brushes are accordingly selected automatically.

[0033] In another aspect, once the hand is comfortably accommodated over
the plurality of brushes, the user can activate the scrubbing process, based on
which the plurality of brushes run simultaneously along with an automatic hand
washing dispenser dispensing a pre-configured volume of hand washing agent
into the faucet.
[0034] In another aspect, the brushes automatically occupy spaces to
scrub/clean the palm, inter digital spaces, web spaces and tip of finger of palmer
surface for the first predefined timeframe, and wherein the plurality of brushes are
fixed in wall (i) for palmer surface to clean, and in the opposite wall (ii) to clean

[0038] In yet another aspect, said device at its rear end, incorporates a water
inlet, a drainage outlet and a power cable point. As can be seen in an exemplary
aspect, reference "i" is the medial wall of enclosed hand washing chamber.
[0039] FIGs. 1A to ID illustrate exemplary representations of the proposed
device in an aspect of the present invention. With reference to FIG. 1A, the first
step can include measuring of the person's/user's palm size at portion designated
as "A" (102) before putting hand inside the machine/proposed device. In an
exemplary aspect, a user having very small or very large size palm may not be
comfortable putting his/her hand inside the washing chamber of the machine for
scrubbing or such insertion may not be safe for him/her.
[0040] In an exemplary aspect, for easy access, the portion where the user is
to put his/her hand for measurement of palm size, can be color coded i.e. the user,
before putting the hand in machine, can put his/her hand in the specified area for
palm size measurement such that if such measurement is indicative of green
color/zone, the user can be configured to, for instance, at portion marked in FIG.

IB, choose one of, for instance 6, 6.5, 7, switch outside the machine to choose the correct size of faucet for him (refer to FIG. lB)in order to aptly grip of faucet. However, jet washing and drying can be done for all size of hands. [0041] With reference to FIG. IB, in an exemplary aspect, the proposed device can be configured to incorporate three sets for scrubbing faucets e.g. 6, 6.5 and 7 inches as these are most common palm sizes. Portions marked as "B"(104) and "C"(106) are being marked for left and right hand washing chamber with irrigation, drainage and hand drying facilities. Each of the portions B and C can be configured with four (4) walls (i,ii,iii and iv) with 2 zones upper zone (104A/106A) and lower yellow (106A/106B).
[0042] With reference to FIG. 1C, as shown in, the proposed device can, in an exemplary aspect, at its rear end, incorporate a water inlet, a drainage outlet and a power cable point. As can be seen in an exemplary aspect, reference "i" is the medial wall of enclosed hand washing chamber.
[0043] FIGs. 2A to 2D illustrate exemplary representation of gloves-shaped faucet where only palmer surface will be in touch with the wall, and rear-end/back of the hand can remain in open space inside the washing chamber. This can help accommodate exact size of palm so that all brushes will come in exact spaces of palm to scrub/clean specified areas without hurting the hands. After getting beep sound after a predefined time frame, say 10 seconds of washing one side of palm, the user can be required to move the hand to the opposite wall i.e. "ii" wall where similar shape /faucet will be there to accommodate back of the hand. Here, back side hand scrubbing can be done by the machine for a second pre-defined timeframe, say 10 seconds for each surface.
[0044] In an aspect, the automatic scrubbing can be performed through any or a combination of four steps, wherein, in the first step, both hands can rest in medial side faucets shown in circles in FIG. 2B. These medial side faucets can include/comprise knobs that will work as rest for hand and with small rotating brushes to clean inter-digital web space. In an aspect, as mentioned above, before putting hand, the user can be required to measure hand size and set the size by which the proposed device can adjust the size of the brush and accordingly other

brushes can be selected automatically. With reference to FIG. ID, as part of the second step, once the hand is comfortably accommodated over the brushes, the user can press run button to start the scrubbing process. This can switch on all four brushes to run simultaneously, along with automatic hand washing dispenser dispensing 5-10 ml (or any other pre-configured volume) of chlorhexidine/ betadine hand washing agent into the faucet. As part of the third step, the three other brushes can automatically occupy the spaces as shown in FIG. 2B to clean the palm, inter digital spaces, web spaces and tip of finger of palmer surface for say 10 seconds (only an example). All structures shown in FIGs. 2C and 2D are brushes that are fixed in wall "i' for palmer surface to clean, and in wall "ii" to clean dorsal surface of the hand. References a,b, c and d in FIG. 2D can be configured as brushes to be fitted in the elements 'i' and 'ii' wall of washing chamber. As part of the fourth step, similarly dorsal surface of the hand will be cleaned after keeping the hand on wall "ii" for say 10 seconds in an example. [0045] Post the above process, the hands can be cleaned with water jet i.e. after 20 seconds of scrubbing there will be automatic buzz, post which the user can be required to keep his/her hand in centre of the hand washing chamber such that water from walls "i, ii, iii and iv"104B/106B will spray to clean hand for say 10 seconds. Finally hot air from wall "iv- blue zone" will dry the hand. [0046] As would be appreciated, the proposed device is a 3-in-l device that can work for scrubbing the hand, washing and then drying it up automatically in step by step. The device is configured to work in compliance to the WHO protocol of hand washing. The device is an automatic time controlled device, wherein all steps of hand scrubbing can be done by the proposed device brushes including palm dorsal and ventral surface as well as web space of the hands, tip of fingers specifically. The proposed device is not a generalised device rather a personalised device for adult with fix hand size (this has specified area to measure the ideal size before starting the machine) such that the inner mechanism of scrubbing the hand and web spaces will be done only after putting the hand in specified half gloves like space designed in the both walls of the machine. These half gloves like space will have small moving brush like structures that will scrub the web

spaces, tip of finger and palm. Liquid hand wash will automatically be poured in the scrubbing area once the machine starts working. Furthermore, safety start and stop button will be under control of user at the knee level. Another safety mechanism those whose hands comes in green zone of measurement will have more effective way of washing hands. At the end users hand will be dirt free, germ free and dry hand. However it can be used by all categories of people if they opt for only washing and drying without scrubbing by pressing start button twice. [0047] Moreover, in interpreting the specification, all terms should be interpreted in the broadest possible manner consistent with the context. In particular, the terms "comprises" and "comprising" should be interpreted as referring to elements, components, or steps in a non-exclusive manner, indicating that the referenced elements, components, or steps may be present, or utilized, or combined with other elements, components, or steps that are not expressly referenced. Where the specification claims refer to at least one of something selected from the group consisting of A, B, C ....and N, the text should be interpreted as requiring only one element from the group, not A plus N, or B plus N, etc.
[0048] While the foregoing describes various embodiments of the invention, other and further embodiments of the invention may be devised without departing from the basic scope thereof. The scope of the invention is determined by the claims that follow. The invention is not limited to the described embodiments, versions or examples, which are included to enable a person having ordinary skill in the art to make and use the invention when combined with information and knowledge available to the person having ordinary skill in the art.
