Abstract: Accordingly, an automatic sales promotion system and method is disclosed. A system for automatic sales promotion through website comprising of; a communication interface such as internet; a computer system for effective communication with customers; billing machine for maintaining record of purchase transaction; and a sales promotion display system for automatically displaying coupons/ discounted price offers/complimentary offer on particular purchase. The present invention analyzes the previous customer purchase trends. So based on the purchases done, the website automatically sends sales promotion related emails and messages to the customer with exciting offers, promotions and discounts.
Claims:WE CLAIM:
1. A method for automatic sales promotion comprising the steps of;
a. Ordering a list of items uploaded by customers on website;
b. Receiving a hierarchical listing of items purchased by customer;
c. displaying discounted coupons/complimentary offers to customers for promoting sales;
d. selecting sales promotion category by customer;
e. generating data based on sales promotion category;
f. generating a receipt of purchase transaction; and
g. Sending sales promotion mails/messages to customer.
2. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sales promotion mails/messages are sent to customer with exciting offers, promotions, discounts based on stored purchase history.
3. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the complimentary offer is in the form of getting one item/product free on purchase of a particular product.
4. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said hierarchical listing of items include list of the products arranged according to hierarchical level.

6. The system as claimed in claim 5, wherein the said information about displaying coupons/ discounted price offers/complimentary offer on particular purchase through a sales promotion display system has been fed in website in order to make the process easier for users.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to systems and methods for pricing retail products and services. The present invention more particularly relates to an automatic system and method for sales promotion for retail products and services.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Sales promotion includes taking suggestions from all staff like sales team, price reductions on items, discount coupons distributed to shopkeeper, through pamphlets, through advertisements on media like TV, newspapers, and internet. Generally sales promotion is carried out through individual stores.
In some particular season, some items sold out very easily such as sweaters, coats in winter season. Two types of marketing campaigns are carried out national and local marketing campaign. Typically discounted price attracts the customers. Marketing campaigns encourage people to purchase products due to seasonal need, price reduction. These type of marketing campaigns increase the sales profit and no. of items sold out.
Another type of promotion is by giving one item free by purchasing other item (complimentary offer). Such type of offers attracts customers to buy products and automatically enhance the sales and profits. These types of promotions are selected and the better quality offer is more likely to result in additional purchase of other items. The quality of sales promotion may be affected by with the skill of individual making the selection of items.
So depending upon the purchase transactions by customers, it is very difficult to identify the purchase trend of customers. So based on selection made by customers of a particular brand and selection trends of the customers in the country, buyer preferences can be identified. On the basis of buyer preferences, this data can be collected, analyzed and used to generate selection criteria for sales promotion. These types of sales trends are based on individual skills of the analyzing persons. So the results can be different if sales promotion trends can be find out by analyzing the retail section of distribution.
The prior art system does not show automatic function whereby the promotion system can achieve automatic promotion for a large number of stores. In large retail chain environments, it is very difficult to manage a large retail chain manually or by individuals per store. So the product price differences in retail services require automatic and dynamic promotion of the products.
So there is a need for automating the sales promotion process and remove the individual skill criteria. So a system for automatic selection of sales is required which analyses the previous customer purchases. The present invention is an automatic system and method for sales promotion.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to analyze the previous customer purchase trends.
Yet another object of the present invention is to manage large retail sales automatically by lessening burden on individuals in the stores.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.

The present invention is an automatic sales promotion system and method. The present invention analyzes the previous customer purchase trends. The present invention manages large retail sales automatically by lessening burden on individuals in the stores.
In an embodiment, a system for automatic sales promotion through website comprising of; a communication interface such as internet; a computer system for effective communication with customers; billing machine for maintaining record of purchase transaction, a sales promotion display system for automatically displaying coupons/ discounted price offers/complimentary offer on particular purchase.
In another embodiment, a method for automatic sales promotion comprising of: ordering a list of items uploaded by customers on website; receiving a hierarchical listing of items purchased by customer; displaying discounted coupons/complimentary offers to customers for promoting sales; selecting sales promotion category by customer; generating data based on sales promotion category; generating a receipt of purchase transaction; and sending sales promotion mails/messages to customer with exciting offers, promotions ,discounts based on stored purchase history.
The price is planned for one or more products within a retail operation. At first, some normal prices for each and every product are set as well as discounted/promotional offer prices are also set in the website. Various data like inventory data, budget data, and product lists are set in the website. Price is decided depending upon product purchased and manual input by user which is typed price for the product.
The website automatically enters information such as timing, quantity taken of the products, store location. Website automatically displays promotion offers/complimentary offers to customers. A sales promotion may be a promotion associated with a particular store or grouping of stores, a particular article or grouping of articles, a geographic region, etc a promotion may include a price change, timing information, article information, store location, or information related to the promotion.
User interface may be any type of interface configured to allow a user to see the price. Each user is assigned to one or more specific budgets, which in turn are assigned to specific articles. User interface displays data; a hierarchical product list to a user in order to facilitate sales promotion.
The product data may be in the form of a hierarchical product list. If some user wants to purchase some items directly from the shop, after viewing the entire list on screen, he/she can modify some changes in price, timing information, and product selection.

So based on the purchases done, the website automatically sends sales promotion related emails and messages to the customer with exciting offers, promotions and discounts.
