Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The invention relates generally to control the temperature inside the vehicle,
and paticularly to provide a mechanism of automatic sun light shield on vehicle
during summer days.
5 BACKGROUND
[0002] 1 Jsagc cf shield0 for prcvc111i11gw ind ifi vehicle is quite prevalent. Shields
may be used for preventing vehicle from dust particle, smoke, mosquitoes'. The
shield stopped the entry of even tiny particle and provides a safe journey. The sun
shades may be used on wind shield of vehicle at rest only to protect sun light.
10 [0003] The vehicles are generally get hot form inside during summer days. On a hot
summer day, touching your steering wheel or seatbelt is like putting your hand
directly into a hot frymg' pan. At the peak.of summer, the interior of car can heat up
to dangerous temperatures making driving almost unbearable. The major sources of
entering sun light in the vehicles are wind shield, side windows, back windows and
15 car floor etc. The sun shades which are available in market may be used on wind
shield, and side & back window to control temperature in vehicle at rest only. While
moving vehicles the sun shade cannot be used for visible reason and it is the
violation of Indian driving rules. It takes extra time to find shaded parking spots
under trees, building, or underground parking lots. Nobody likes to enter a car that's
20 been parked in direct sunlight. To overcome this issue, it is recommended to open all
the doors for some minutes before entering or Better yet, allow hot air to escape by
leaving the windows slightly open while parked. In countries like India is the
surrounding temperature is more than 40' and the ultraviolet (UV) rays (due to sun
light) escape in vehicle may produce harmhl effects such as damage to the eyes, and
25 skin cancer of human body. Hence, there exists a need for providing a mechanism to
control the temperature inside the vehicle.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0004] The present subject matter relates to control the temperaturc inside the
vehicle during summer days. Temperature can be controlled by blocking the entrance
of sun light inside the vehicle. Temperature controlling illside vehicle may be
5 required in order to avoid its side effects on car interior and human body. '
[0005] As mentioned previously, at the peak of summer, the interior of car can heat
up to dangerous temperatures making driving almost unbearable. A traditional
practice is to open all the doors for some minutes before entering or Better yet, allow
hot air to escape by leaving the windows slightly open while parked. The UV rays
10 (due to sun light) entre in vehicle may produce harmful effects such as damage to the
eyes, and skin cancer of human body.
[0006] A system and method of controlling temperature in car during summer days
is described. The system comprises a sun light shield installed on floor of vehicle on
which direct sun light falls on summer days. The sun shield may block the entrance
15 of sun light inside the car especially fiom vehicle floor. The vehicle cover may be
provided to protect direct sun light, if the vehicle is parking for long hours. The sun
shades which are available in market may be used on wind shield, and side & back
window to control temperature in vehicle. The sensors such as rear view sensor,
parking sensor are used in vehicle for driver assistance. A sensor may be used to
20 'make automatic operation of sun light shield.
[0007] In the present implementation, a sun light shield is provided to block sunlight
entrance form floor of vehicle. A grove sensor (sun light sensor) may be used to
make automatic operation of sun shield. Therefore, the interior of car may be safe
and effect of UV may be eliminated. The present method, thus, provides for making
25 the temperature control inside the vehicle more convenient.
[0008] Figure 1 illustrates a perspective view of a vehicle including a sun light shield
mounted on the vehicle body.
[0009] 'Figure 1 illustrates another perspective view of the vehicle including grove
sensor mounted on vehicle floor.
[0010] Figure 2 illustrates a perspective of sun light shield spread over vehicle floor.
[0011] Fig. 1 illustrates a vehicle 101. The vehiclc may be any automobile like, but
5 not limited to, a car or a bus or a truck driven by a human. The vehicle 101
comprises a floor 102. As shown in Fig. 1, the vehicle 101 further comprises a grove
sensor 103 mounted on the floor. The vehicle 101 further comprises a sun' shield
mechanism 104 mounted on the floor. The sensor may be mounting at any place of
floor. In one embodiment of the invention, the sensor 103 is mounted at middle of
10 floor 102 of the vehicle 101 as shown in Fig.1.
[0012] During summer days, when the sun light falls on vehicle, the position of sun
light comprises the position where sun light fall for purpose of controlling
temperature. '
[0013] The sensor 103 may be mounted at centre of floor 102 where sun light may
15 fall first. In one embedment, the sensor 103 is mounted on the front of floor 102 and
in another embodiment; the sensor 103 may be mounted on rear side of floor 102.
[0014] Fig. 2 illustrates a vehicle 101 comprising a floor 102 on top of the vehicle
101. The sun light may fall on a part of floor or on whole floor. There may be
circumstance for example sun light come for few second and may go away due to
20 presence of cloud. In another embodiment, the sensor 103 may actuate with timing
sensor. It may operate when sun light fall continue for at least a couple of time and
sun light fall discontinue for at least a couple of time.
[0015] The sensor send signal to sun shield mechanism wherein rolling motor, chain,
gear is used to open and close sun light shield. The sun light shield mechanism may
25 be provided at rear of vehicle floor. In one embodiment, as shown on the Fig. 3 the
sun shield mechanism is installed on front of vehicle floor. Further, the sun light
shield mechanism is protected against water during rain and washing etc.
[0016] In an implementation of the system, the sensor 103 has capability to sense
sun light. The sensor 103 actuate only when sun light fall on it. The sensor may be
actuating for a specific time and may be actuating when sun.light falls for a couple of
minutes.
5 [0017] The present system, thus, blocks the entry of sun light form floor uf vehicle
and prevents the escaping of UV in vehicle.
[0018] A method of controlling temperature inside the vehicle 101 is described. The
sun lights are sensed by sensor 103 installed on floor of vehicle 101. The sensor
sends the signal and rolling motor start wherein gear and chain are coupled with
10 motor. Now, the sun light shield 104 come in picture and spread over the floor 102.
In one implementation of the present subject matter, the method of controlling
temperature may be used to block sun light entry form floor 102 of the vehicle 101.
[0019] This description of the present subject matter is not meant to be construed in
a limiting sense. Various other modified versions of the above described
15 embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments, may be apparent to persons skilled
in the art with teference to the subject mattef.
Industrial application
Sun light shield mechanism finds industrial application for the manufactures of four
20 wheelers such as car, jeep etc., three wheelers such as auto rickshaw, and heavy duty
vehicles such as bus etc.
