Auxiliary Power Source Device For Vehicle And Overcurrent Protection Method

Abstract: An auxiliary power source device for a vehicle is provided with a control section (10) and a resonant inverter circuit (1) that converts DC input to a desired AC voltage and delivers this as output. The control section (10) is provided with: a resonance time management section (13) that manages the resonance time of the current flowing in the resonant inverter circuit (1); a gate OFF instruction generating section (12) that based on the detection current of a current detector (CT1) detects overcurrent flowing in the resonant inverter circuit (1) and if such overcurrent is detected generates a gate OFF instruction for turning switching elements (HGU1 HGV2) of the resonant inverter circuit (1) OFF after lapse of the time at which the current flowing in the switching elements (HGU1 HGV2) initially becomes zero based on the detection current of the current detector (CT1) and the resonance time which is managed by the resonance time management section (13); and a gate signal generating section (14) that generates a gate signal that controls turning OFF of the switching elements (HGU1 HGV2) when the gate OFF instruction is input.
