Abstract: An auxiliary trip device includes: a casing adjacently connected to a circuit breaker; a link rod disposed in the casing so that a portion thereof projects from a side surface facing the circuit breaker of the casing and operating the circuit breaker to be off by means of the projecting portion; and a tripping mechanism, disposed in the casing, for driving the link rod to cause the circuit breaker to be off when a power supply voltage is abnormal. A back side surface of the casing has a groove for mounting a mounting rail on which the casing and the circuit breaker are adjacently mounted. The casing has a flexible projection on the side surface facing the circuit breaker. The projection has a protrusion at the tip thereof. The protrusion protrudes in the normal direction of the back side surface so as to be hooked onto the circuit breaker.
Claims
1. An auxiliary trip device, for a circuit breaker, disposed so as to be connected
adjacent to the circuit breaker that has one or more poles and that supplies power from a
power supply to a load, the auxiliary trip device operating the circuit breaker so as to be off
when a power supply voltage is abnormal, the auxiliary trip device comprising:
a casing mounted so as to be connected adjacent to a body of the circuit breaker;
a link rod disposed in the casing so that a portion of the link rod projects from a side surface facing the circuit breaker of the casing, the link rod operating a contact section of the circuit breaker so as to be off by means of the projecting portion; and
a tripping mechanism, disposed in the casing, for driving the link rod to cause the contact section of the circuit breaker to be off when a power supply voltage is abnormal,
wherein a back side surface of the casing is provided with a groove for mounting a mounting rail so that the casing and the circuit breaker are mounted adjacent to each other along the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail, and
wherein the casing is provided with a projection having flexibility on the side surface facing the circuit breaker, the projection is provided with a protrusion at the tip of the projection, and the protrusion protrudes in the normal direction of the back side surface of the casing so as to be hooked onto the body of the circuit breaker.
2. The auxiliary trip device for the circuit breaker according to claim 1,
wherein the tripping mechanism includes:
a driving member, supported by the casing so as to be rotatable, for driving the link rod;
a link having a first end and a second end;
a latch member for latching the second end of the link between the driving member and the latch member; and
an electromagnetic device for driving the latch member when a power supply voltage is abnormal, to move the second end of the link externally out of a link recess formed between the latch member and the driving member, and thus moves the driving member by means of a spring force of a release spring to drive the link rod.
