Bank Security System Using Pir Sensor And Gsm Module

Abstract: Present invention provides specially design and develop a bank locker security system based on GSM technology which can be formed into a structured in bank, secured offices and homes. In this system only authentic person can be recovered money from bank locker. We have enforced a bank locker security system based on PIR sensor and GSM technology containing door locking system using and GSM which can activate, authenticate, and validate the user and unlock the door in real time for bank locker secure access. The main advantage of exploitation passive PIR sensor and GSM is more secure than other systems. This system consists of microcontroller, PIR sensor, GSM modem, keyboard, and LCD. In this system the PIR sensor detects the motion of human and sends the SMS request to the authenticated person mobile number for the original password to open the bank locker if the password is sent to the microcontroller, which will verify the passwords enrolled by the key board and received from particular mobile phone. If these two passwords are matched the locker will be opened otherwise it will be stay in locked position. This system is more secure than other systems because two passwords required for verification. This system also generates a log containing check-in and check-out of each user along with basic information of user. Following invention is described in detail with the help of Figure 1 of sheet 1 showing the system architecture of the proposed system.

Detailed description:

User account security is the prime concern for every bank as it helps banks to achieve customer satisfaction and provides opportunities for them to grow their business, because a user will always look towards such a bank which provides him the safe and secure banking solutions with minimum risk factor. This project provides security system for the user lockers provided by the banks. For this it take help of GSM technology, each use will have a unique code for his locker, which he will need to enter while opening the locker security. System will generate a unique encrypted code for user access and will SMS it to user with the help of GSM module attached, use will need to enter this code in order to open the locker within a specific time frame, otherwise the door will be locked and access denied by the system. This security system also provides a security to user account in his absence with the help of PIR sensor and alarm circuit. Customers keep their expensive items and money in bank locker. It is very important for every bank that it should provide high security to locker system.

Operations:-
The block diagram consists of unique code for a locker. The password will be provided by the bank, it will act as a primary level user identification code which he will need to enter while opening a locker, as soon as the system recognized as a valid user, the security system will generate a unique encrypted code for user access and will SMS it to user with the help of GSM module attached, this code is purely generated on complex software algorithm. User will need to enter this code in order to open the locker within a specific time frame, if the code matches the encrypted code system will open the door, otherwise the door will be locked and the access denied by the system. In the absence of user the PIR sensor will continuously track the 360 degree movement, in order to avoid unauthorized host from attempting to open the locker, as soon as it detects a movement, it will raise alarm and will notify the banks internal security system.

Micro-controller ATMEGA 16-
It is heart of our project. A micro-controller often serves as the brain of a mechatronic system. Like a mini, self-contained computer, it can be programmed to act together with both the hardware of the system and the user. Even the most basic micro-controller can execute simple math operations, control digital outputs, and monitor digital inputs. As the computer industry has developed, so has the technology associated with micro-controller. Newer micro-controller is much faster, have more memory, and have a host of input and output characteristics that show the ability of earlier models. Most modern controllers have analog-to-digital converter, high-speed timers and counters, interrupt capabilities, outputs that can be pulse-width modulated, serial communication ports, etc.

PIR Sensor-
The aim of this project is to use inexpensive PIR sensor to notice if a human has moved. To build this project we have used microcontroller to detect if the sensor had altered state and it will emit a sound from the speaker or piezo, the MCU also notices the voltage of the battery in the startup, the algorithm is very simple it use interrupt on alter to discover the change on the PIR sensor. PIR sensor allows you to sense motion, almost always used to detect whether a human has displaced in or out of the sensors range. They are small, inexpensive, low-power, easy to use and don't wear out. For that reason they are normally found in appliances and gadgets used in homes or businesses. PIRs are basically made of a pyro electric sensor, which can detect levels of infrared radiation. Everything emits some low level radiation, and the hotter something is, the more radiation is expelled. The sensor in a motion detector is actually split in two halves. The reason for that is that we are looking to detect motion (change) not average IR levels. The two halves are wired up so that they notice each other out. If one half sees more or less IR radiation than the other, the output will swing high or low.

GSM module-
GSM (Global System for Mobile ) / GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) TTL Modem is SIM900 quad-band GSM/GPRS device, works on frequencies 850 MHZ,900 MHZ,1800 MHZ and 1900 MHZ. It is very compact in size and easy to use as plug in GSM modem. The modem is designed with 3 V and 5V dc TTL interfacing circuitry, which allows user to directly interface with 5V microcontrollers (ARM, ARM cortex XX, etc.). The baud rate can be configurable from 9600-115200 bps through AT (attention) commands. This GSM/GPRS TTL modem has internal TCP/IP stack to enable user to connect with internet through GPRS feature. It is suitable for SMS as well as Data transfer application in mobile phone to mobile phone interfaced. The modem can be interface with a micro-controller using USART (Universal Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter) feature (Serial communication).

Servo-motor-
If a heavy load is placed on the motor, the driver will increase the current to the motor coil as it attempts to rotate the motor. Basically, there are no out-of-step conditions. (However, too heavy a load may cause an error.) High-speed operation is possible. It has compact design. High power density and overload capacity, high maximum rotational speed. It is robust, virtually maintenance free construction.

Keypad-
This is a 4x4 keypad for interfacing with the micro-controller. This can be used as an input medium for different applications. It is compatible with any of the system.4x4 matrix circuitry to reduce connecting pins. Weight of each switch is light in weight.

Power Supply-
The power supply most important for electronic circuits, which is provide the required power to microcontroller and other electronics devices which provide the required power to the ATMEGA16 and other electronics devices. For this system we are using +5v power supply for buzzer and all different sensor which are used by us. Also we required 3.3 v power supply for PIC microcontroller which is obtained by LM1117.For DC motor 12v supply is required which is taken from rectifiers output.

LCD Display-
The term liquid crystal is used to describe a substance in a state between liquid and solid but which exhibits the properties of both. Molecules in liquid crystals tend to arrange themselves until they all point in the same specific direction. This arrangement of molecules enables the medium to flow as a liquid. Depending on the temperature and particular nature of a substance, liquid crystals can exist in one of several distinct phases. Liquid crystals in a pneumatic phase, in which there is no spatial ordering of the molecules, for example, are used in LCD technology.

Banking system has been with us for as long as people have been using money. Banks and other financial institutions provide security for individuals, businesses and governments, alike. Let's recap what has been learned with this tutorial. In this security system PIR sensor has been used which is low power, and low cost, pretty rugged, have a wide lens range, and are easy to interface with. This security system can be implemented in places like home, office, shop etc. The sensitivity range for detecting motion of the system is about 3 to 4 feet. It can be raised up to 20 feet through careful used of concentrating optical lenses as feature development. High level of security is obtained by the GSM technology. Security is ensured even if the unauthorized user tries to open the locker with the valid user ID, as the encrypted code only is sent to valid user cellphone. It has low cost and easy to use. System can be easily modified for new users. We can implement it in bank security system, personal locker security system and in jewelry stores.

Additional advantages and modification will readily occur to those skilled in art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspect is not limited to specific details and representative embodiments shown and described herein. Accordingly various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general invention concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
