Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery cell assembly comprising: a pouch-type battery cell; a cell housing accommodating the pouch-type battery cell; blocking plates located at both ends of the cell housing in the length direction; and a venting plate for discharging gas emitted from the pouch-type battery cell, wherein a thermally expandable material is added to the inner surface of the blocking plates. The spread of flames generated in the pouch-type battery cell can be completely blocked, and gas can be discharged in the direction of the venting plate.
