Battery Module
Abstract: Disclosed is a battery module encompassing battery cells by using a battery accommodation unit and a battery cover unit as substitutes for cartridges thereby being suitable for minimizing an increase in overall volume according to a high capacity and simplifying a connection structure of the battery cells. The battery module according to the present invention comprises: a battery accommodation unit having inside an accommodation housing an accommodation groove and a zigzag shaped accommodation structure on an accommodation sidewall encompassing the accommodation groove; battery cells coming in contact with the accommodation structure by being partially accommodated in the accommodation groove and having electrode leads protruding from the accommodation housing; and a battery cover unit having inside a mounting housing a mounting groove for mounting the battery cells by being open toward the accommodation groove and a zigzag shaped mounting structure on a mounting sidewall encompassing the mounting groove wherein the mounting housing covers the accommodation groove of the accommodation housing and is penetrated by the electrode leads.
