Abstract: A battery module according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a module frame for encompassing the battery cell stack; and a fire extinguishing member interposed between the battery cells, wherein the battery cells include first and second battery cells that neighbor each other, and the fire extinguishing member encompasses, in a zigzag shape, the upper surface of the first battery cell, the space between the first battery cell and the second battery cell, and the lower surface of the second battery cell.
