Abstract: A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: battery cells; a module case accommodating the battery cells; and a bus bar assembly electrically connected to electrode leads of the battery cells, wherein the bus bar assembly comprises: a bus bar frame arranged on at least one side of the battery cells; a lead slot penetrating the electrode leads of the battery cells; a sensing bus bar connected to the electrode leads of the battery cells; and a short-circuit prevention member mounted on at least one end portion of the sensing bus bar and surrounding the at least one end portion of the sensing bus bar.

Secondary batteries that are easy to apply according to product groups and have electrical characteristics such as high energy density are not only portable devices, but also electric vehicles (EVs) or hybrid vehicles (HEVs) driven by an electric drive source. It is universally applied. These secondary batteries are attracting attention as a new energy source for improving eco-friendliness and energy efficiency in that not only the primary advantage of being able to dramatically reduce the use of fossil fuels, but also the fact that no by-products are generated from the use of energy.

The types of secondary batteries currently widely used include a lithium ion battery, a lithium polymer battery, a nickel cadmium battery, a nickel hydride battery, a nickel zinc battery, and the like. The unit secondary battery cell, that is, the operating voltage of the unit battery cell is about 2.5V ~ 4.5V. Accordingly, when a higher output voltage is required, a plurality of battery cells are connected in series to form a battery pack. In addition, a plurality of battery cells may be connected in parallel to form a battery pack according to the charge/discharge capacity required for the battery pack. Accordingly, the number of battery cells included in the battery pack may be variously set according to a required output voltage or charge/discharge capacity.

On the other hand, when configuring a battery pack by connecting a plurality of battery cells in series/parallel, a battery module including at least one battery cell is first configured, and other components are added using the at least one battery module. A method of configuring the battery pack is common.

In the case of a conventional battery module, when exposed to environmental changes such as temperature change, condensation may occur inside the battery module. The water condensed by the dew condensation phenomenon may be filled to a predetermined height inside the battery module. In addition, there is a risk that a short circuit occurs between sensing busbars inside the battery module due to the condensed water caused by the dew condensation.

Therefore, it is required to find a way to prevent the short circuit of the sensing bus bar when condensation occurs inside the battery module.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a battery module capable of preventing a short circuit of a sensing bus bar when dew condensation occurs inside the battery module, a battery pack including the battery module, and a vehicle.

In order to solve the above object, the present invention, as a battery module, a plurality of battery cells; a module case accommodating the plurality of battery cells; and a bus bar assembly provided in the module case and electrically connected to electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells, wherein the bus bar assembly includes a bus bar frame disposed on at least one side of the plurality of battery cells. ; a plurality of lead slots provided in the bus bar frame and penetrating the electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells; a plurality of sensing bus bars disposed opposite to the plurality of lead slots and connected to electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells; and a plurality of short circuit preventing members mounted on at least one end of the plurality of sensing bus bars and surrounding the at least one end of the plurality of sensing bus bars.

[Claim 1]
A battery module comprising: a plurality of battery cells; a module case accommodating the plurality of battery cells; and a bus bar assembly provided in the module case and electrically connected to electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells, wherein the bus bar assembly includes a bus bar frame disposed on at least one side of the plurality of battery cells. ; a plurality of lead slots provided in the bus bar frame and penetrating the electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells; a plurality of sensing bus bars disposed opposite to the plurality of lead slots and connected to electrode leads of the plurality of battery cells; and a plurality of short circuit preventing members mounted on at least one end of the plurality of sensing bus bars and surrounding the at least one end of the plurality of sensing bus bars.

The battery module according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of short circuit preventing members are mounted on lower ends of the plurality of sensing bus bars.

The battery module according to claim 2, wherein the plurality of short circuit preventing members are provided with a short circuit preventing groove capable of accommodating a lower end of each sensing bus bar.
