Battery Module Having Enhanced Safety

Abstract: The present invention provides are a battery module and the like having enhanced safety by having an improved structure such that the discharge of flames and the like generated inside a battery module are properly controlled. The battery module according to one aspect of the present invention may comprise: a cell assembly having a plurality of battery cells which are stacked in parallel in the left-right direction while stood in the up-down direction and in which a taping member is partially attached to at least an upper sealing part thereof; a module terminal electrically connected to the cell assembly; and a module case having the module terminal provided on the outer side thereof, accommodating the cell assembly in the inner space thereof, and having, on the upper part thereof, a top hole communicating with the inner space, wherein the module case is formed at the top of the cell assembly such that at least a portion of an unattached section of the taping member is positioned at a portion in which the top hole is formed.
