Battery Pack

Abstract: [Problem] To provide a battery pack capable of diagnosing, by itself, deterioration of a battery. [Solution] A battery pack 40 is provided with: a battery 50 for supplying electrical power to a motor 2 of a hybrid system 10; a resistor 45 electrically connected to the battery 50 via an electrical circuit; a switch 46 that is provided on an electrical circuit 174 between the battery 50 and the resistor 45 and that performs opening and closing of the electrical circuit 174 between the battery 50 and the resistor 45; and a control unit 85 that performs control for closing the switch 46 according to an input signal 86 and that diagnoses the degree of deterioration of the battery 50 on the basis of fluctuations in the voltage of the battery 50 when an electrical current flows from the battery 50 towards the resistor 45.
