DESCRIPTION BATTERY PACK Technical Field o [0001] The present technology relates to a battery pack, capable of being mounted to an electronic appa ralua. Background Art [0OD2] In a compact electronic apparatus sudi as a 10 digital sti 11 camera, a digital video camera, or a mobile phone, a battery pack J ike a lithium-"ion secondary battery is mounted in a detachable state. Seine battery packs are knowi,) to include control terminals lor communication and temperature dctcctnon 15 terminals for temperature detection, i EI addition to positive terminals and negative terminals. For example, Patent Document 1 below discloses a battery pack i nniudiny, on the front thereof", a tcrmina.l unit; in Which a control l.enninal, a negative terminal, a 20 temperature detection terminal, and a positive terminal Eire arranged in the stated order in a width direction thereof. [00031 On the other hand, generally, a battery pack is prepared for each model of electronic apparatuses, 25 and the arrangement of contacts connected to the terminals of the battery pack is different among each SP344201WOOG 2 model of electronic apparatuses. Therefore, in an e.l ect runic apparatus to which a battery pack including a temperature detection terminal and a control terminal in addition to a positive terminal and a negative 5 terminal is mounted, the arrangement of contacts to be connected to those terminals is determined so as to correspond to the arrangement of those terminals of the battery pack. f00041 Patent document 1: Japanese Patent 10 Application Laid-open No. 2009-376336 Summary of invention Problem to be solved by the "Invention [0005] Howevei, in the case where a battpry pack, is not correctly mounted to an electronic apparatus or the 15 shape of a contact of the electronic apparatus is defective* a proper mounting state of the battery pack. and the electronic apparatus cannot be ensured, which causes a possibi1i ty that the electronic apparatus cannot be correctly operated. 20 [000f>] In view of the circumstances as described above, it is an object of the present technology to provide a battery pack capable of ensuring a normal operation of an electronic apparatus- Means for solving the Problem . ... 25 [00071 In order to achieve the object descried above, according to an embodiment of the present 5P344201WQOQ 3 technology, there is provided a battery pack including a p*ack body and a plurality of terminals. The pack body has a first main surface and a second main surface that are opposed to each other in a 5 first axis direction, a first end surface and a second end surface that are opposed to each other i n a second axis direction orthogonal to Lite first axis direction, and a first side surface and a'second side surface that art? opposed to eac:h other in a third axis direction 10 orthogonal to the first axis directi on and the second axis di reel.ion . The plurality of terminals include a positive terminal, a negative terminal, a temperature detection terminal, and a control terminal that are arranged on 15 the first end surface along the third axis direct-ion. Thi1 negative [.erminal is arranged between the temperature detection terminal and the coni.rijl termi nal and closes: to the control terminal than the temperature detection terminal, ?Q [00U8J In the battery pack described above, the negative terminal arranged between the temperature detection terminal and the control termi na.l 5 s arranged closer to the control terminal Uian the temperature detection termina-i. -Accordingly, a contact of an 25 el ectronic apparatus, whi ch is to be connected to the negative terminal, is prevented from being erroneously SP34 4201WO00 4 connected to the tempersture detection terminal, and a state where the contact is properly connected to the negative terminal can be stably maintained, As a result, a normal operation of the electronic apparatus can be 5 ensured. tuQ09] The first end surface may include a first terminal window, a second terminal window, a thi rd terminal window, and a fourth terminal window. The first terminal window exposes the control ]0 terminal to an outside. The second terminal window is provided apart from the first terminal window by a first gap and exposes l.he negative terminal to the outside. The third terminal window is provided apart from tne second terminal window by a second gap larger 15 than the first gap and exposes the tcjiip^./rtture defection terminal to the outside. The fourth terminal window exposes the positive terminal to the outside. [0010] The temperature detection terminal may be arranged between the negative terininal and the positive 20 terminal. Since: a distance between the positive terminal and the negative terminal can be increased, electrical insulation between both the terminals can be enhanced. [0011] The positive terminal may hav= an area larger 25 than that of the negative terminal. According1y, a degree of freedom on the arrangement of the contact of SP3442G1WO0G the electronic apparatus is enhanced, and a proper mounting state of the battery pack can be ensured. [0012] The tirst end surface may include a first concave portion provided close to the flist side 5 surface and a second concave portion provided close to the second s:de surface. The first concave portion and the second concave portion are arranged on the first end surface and closer to the second Main surface than [.he tirst main surface. 10 Accordingly, a function of preventing the battery pack, from being erroneously inserted into the electronic apparatus can be obtained. [0013] in this cane, the plurality of terminals may be auanged on the first end surface and closer to the 15 tirst s.i de surfn'.:^. l.han the second wide surface. Since the symmetry of Lhe terminals with reaped. to a center line extending on the first end surface and being parallel to the f i rst. axis direction is lost., an electrical connection between the l.erminals and the 20 electronic apparatus at the time of erroneous insertion can be hindered. [0014] Kurther, in the above case, Lhe first concave portion may have a width dimension larger than that of . the .second - concave poition in the .third axis direction. 25 Accordingly, the inter Terence between the first concave portjon and Lhe electronic apparatus can be SP344201WO00 prevented at the time of proper insertion, and a stable electrical connection wi th the electronic apparatus can be ensu red * [0015] The plurality of terminals may be arranged on 5 the first end surface and closer to the first main surtace than the second main surface. Since the symmetry of the terminals with respect to a center line extending on the f:rat end surface and being parallel to the th.i rd axis direction is lost, an 10 electrical connection between the teiminals and the electronic apparatus at the time of erroneous J riser Lion can be hindered. [0016] The second end surface (nay include a locking portion configured to be locked to an electronic 15 apparatus. Jn this case, the locking portion is arranged on the second end surface and cJ oser ?;o t.ht? second main surface l.han the first main surface. Accordingly, for example, in the case where: the battery pack is mounted to the electronic apparatus 20 with the first end surface side of the baU.ery pack being brought into contact wi th the electron:c apparatus while the second end surface side of the battery pack is rotatably moved about an axis parallel to the third axis di rect. Lon, the battery-pack can be 25 prevented from being accidentally detached from the electronic apparatus, SP3442O1W0OO 7 Eifect of the Invention [0017] As described above, according to the present technology, a normal operation of the electronic apparatus can be ensured. 5 Brief Description of Drawings [001BJ [Fig- lj Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a battery pack according to an embodiment of the present technology. Accordingly, the negative tcrminal contact 3b of the electronic apparatus is prevented from being erroneously connected to the temperature deLed.ion terminal 21c, and a si ate where the negative terminal contact 3b is-properly connected to lhe negative 25 terminal 21b can be stably ensured. As a result, a normal operation of the electroni c apparatus 200 can be SP344201WOOO IS ensured. [0042] The top cover 3il that forma the terminal surface 101 includes *± plurality of terminal windows 42 (42a, 42b, 42c, 42d) U'^gs- 6 and 7) . The terminal 5 wicidow 42a exposes the positive tormina J 21a to the outsJ de. The term-inal wi nd«w 4 2d exposes the control terminal 21d to the outside. The terminal w j itdtjw 42b j K provided ;;n a.s l.o be apart from the terminal window 42d by a first gap (CI), and exposes the negative terminal ] 0 21b l.o the outside. The terminal window 42c is provided so as to be apart from the terminal window 42b by a second gap {G2) larger than the first gap (ftl) , ^inri exposes the temperature deteel-ion terminal 21c to the outside. As a result, predetermined term3 nal intervals 15 between the terminals- 21a t.o 2ld can be ensured, and a proper mounting state of the battery pack 100 with resper:!. to the battery rnounting unit 203 can be more stably ensured, [0043] In thiw embodiment, a longitudinal dimension 20 of the terminals 21a to 2.Id a3 ong the X-axis direction, which are exposed from the terminal surface 101, is 3 mm, A lateral diroensi on of the positive terminal 2la along the Z-axis direction is 4.25 mm, that of the negative terminal- 21b is 3,8-5 IIIIH, that ot-the 2b temperature detection terminal 21 c and the c-ontrol termi nal 2Id J s 2.7 mm, further, the gap (Gl) between SP344201WO00 19 the negative terminal 21b and the control term J nal 23 d is 1.2 mm, and the: gap (G2) between the negative terminal 21b and the temperature detection terminal 21c is 1.65 mm. 5 |0044] In this embodiment, the teuipeial.ure detection terminal 21c is arranged between the negative terminal 21b and the positive termi nal 21a. Since this arrangement increases a distance between the positive terminal 21a and the negative terminal 21b, electrical 10 insulation between those terminals 21a and 21b can be enhanced. [0045] Further, si nee the above-mentioned arrangement allows the positive terminal 21a to be di spoked at the outermost position, a degree of freedom 15 on the shape and size o± the positive terminal 21a is enhanced. In this embodiment, the positive terminal 21 ?* is formed to have an area larger than that of the negative terminal 2lb. Accordingly, a degree of freedom on the arrangement of the contact 3a of the electronic 20 apparatus is enhanced, and a proper mounting state of the battery pack 100 can be ensured. [004 6] (Concave portion) The I.eiJTiJnal surface 101 of the bal.tejy panic 100 includes a first concave portion 43 and a second 25 concave portion 4 4. The f i r^l. and second concave portions 43 and 44 are provided at positions SP3442D1WOG0 20 substantially symmetric with respect to the center line Pi {Fig. 2) on the terminal surface 101, e.g., at t.wo ends of the terminal surface 101 that arc opposed to each other in the Z-axi s di ret:Lion. 5 [0047] In this embodiment, the first concave portion 43 is provided close to the right side surface IS of the pack, body 10, and the second concave portion 44 is provided close to the left side surface 16 of the pack body ] 0, The f i rst and second concave portions 43 and 10 44 are arranged on Lhe terminal surface 101 and closer to the lower surface 12 than the upper surface 11 of the pack body 10, In this embodiment, the fi rst and second concave portions 43 and 34 are arranged closer to the lower surface 12 of the pack body 10 than the J 5 ceni.ei line P2 (Fig. 2} on Lhe terminal surface 101. [0051] When the battery pack 100 5s inserted inlo SP3442Q]WO0Q 22 the electronic apparatus 200 in a proper posture, the protrusions 204 enter regions where the first and second concave portions 43 and 44 are formed, which allows connection between the termina3s 21a l.o 21d of S the battery pack 100 and the contacts 3a to 3d of the battery mounting unit 203, In this state, a protruding length, shape, size, and l.he like of the protrusions 204 may be sot such that the protrusions 204 do not come into contact with any surface of the termina.l 10 surface .10.1 . f00?)2] On the other hand, when the battery pack. 100 is mounted l.o the battery mounting unit 203 with the l surfaces thereof turned upside down, the protrus iorwg 204 cosne n ni.o contact with regions on the terminal lb surface 101, in which the first and second concave portions 4'3 and 43 are not formed, and restrict further insertion of the battery pack 100 from those contacting positions. Accordingly, a function of preventing the battery pack 100 from being erroneously inserted into 20 the electronic apparatus 200 can be obta.i ned, and a IJUPI is allowed l.o zeoogniiie that the battery pack 100 is not inserted into the electron.! c apparatus 200 i n a correct posture, farther, when the insertion of the battery pack. 100 is restricted due to the proi.nis 'ons 25 204 and the terminal surface 101 that are brought into contact with each other, a protrudi ng 1 eng! h of i.he. SP3442U1WOOO 23 protrusions 204 or contacts 3a to 3d may be set such that the terminals 2Ja to 23d do not. come into contacL with the contacts 3a to 3d. [0053] In tb.i s embodiment, as shown in Fig. 7, the 5 terminals 2la to 2Id of the terminal UDJt ?0 are arranged on the l.ermina] si?dace 101 and closer to the right side surface 15 than the left si de surface 16- Aceerdingly, the symmetry of the terminals 2] a. to 2 Id with respect to the center J-ine PI parallel to the X- ] 0 axis direction on the terminal surface J 0J is lost, which can hinder an electrical connection between l.he terminal unit 20 and the electroni c apparatus 700 at the time bf erroneous insert-ion. [0054] In this case, the first concave portion 43 ] 5 has a width dimension ] argei than tha:t of the second concave portion 44 in the S-axis direction. .Specifically, as shown in Fig. 1, a width dimension Wl of the first concave portion A3 is set to be larger than a width dimension W2 of the second concave portion 20 44. [0055] Accordingly, at the time of the in Her (.ion of the bal.l.ery pack 100 into the battery mounting unit 203 in a proper posture, the first concave portion 43 en the side on which the ternii iidis 2la to 21d are arranged 25 can be prevented from interfering with the pj.oE.rus ion 204, and a stable eteclrical connection between the SP344201WO00 24 terminals 21a to 2Id of the terminal unit 20 and the contacts 3a to 3d of the battery mounting unit 203 can be ensured. Further, the region of the first concave portion 43 is formed to have a relatively large area, b and the interference with the protrusion 204 can thus be suppressed, even when dust is accumulated at the corner of the first concave portion 43 and the widLh of the bottom surface of the cutout region become smaller than the width Wl- As a result., a stable electrical 10 connection between the terminal unit 20 and the battery mounting unit 203 is ensured. [0056] The size of the width dimensions Wl and W2 of the first find second comjave portions 43 and 44 is not particularly limited. In this embod-LmenL, the width 15 dimension Wl is set Lo 3.8b mm, and the width dimension W2 is set to 3.5 mm. Jn addition, a height dimension of the first and second concave portions 43 and 44 along the y-axj s di rect"ion i s set to, for example, 1. H rum. L00b7j Additionally, the terminals 21a to 21d of the 20 tenni rial unit 20 are arranged on the terminal surface 101 and closer to the upper surface 11 than the lower surface 12. In this embodiment, the terminals 2.1 a to 2Id arc arranged on the terminal surface 101 and oloser to the upper surface 11 of the pack, body LO than the 25 center .line P? (J|Lig. 2} on the terminal surface 101. [0058] Accordingly, the symmetry of the terminal 5P34420IWO0D 7 5 unit 20 with respect to the center line P2 is lost, which t^n hinder an electrical connection between the terminals 21a to 2ld and the contacts 3a to 3d at. the time of erroneous insertion of the battery pack 100 5 into the battery mounting unit 203. Further, regions where the first and second concave portions 43 and 44 arc to bo formed are easily ensured. [0059] On the other hand, the formation of (.he first and second concave portions 43 and 4 4 allows the 10 strength of the terminal surface 101 to be enhanced. ji'igs. 10 and 31 are a perspective view and a plan view showing the structure of the inner surface of the Lop cuuei 31. As described above, the top c^Vver 31 is formed of an injection molded body of a synthetic resin lb material. The top cover 33 includes a peripheral wall portion 310 to be fitted into the front end of the cell unit 30, a pair of reference pins 311 for positioning of the wiling substrate 21, and a pair of fixing claws 312 that fix the wiring substrate 21, in addition to 20 the l.eiminal windows 42a to 42d and the concave portions 43 and 44. LOO60j The fi rst and second concave portions 43 and 44 are formed by depressing predetermined portions of -the top cover 31 in the Y-axis direction, and bumps 313 25 and 314are formed on the inner surface of the top cover 31 at positions corresponding to the positions SP344201WOQ0 26 where the first and second concave portions ^3 and 44 are formed. The pair of reference pins 311 are formed so aH to be opposed to each other in the Z-axis direction and determines a position where the wiring 5 substrate 21 is to he attached to the inner surface of the top cover 31. The; pair of fixing claws 312 are formed on the inner surface of the peripheral wall portion 3J 0 so as to be opposed to each other in the Xaxis direction and engaged with both edges of the 10 wiri ng substrate 21 positioned by the pa i r of L e£e*ein.:e pins 311. [00G1J On the other hand, the wiring substrate 21 includes a pair of through-holes 201a, through wh^lch the pair of reference pins 331 pass, and cutouts 201b IS and 20Jc formed to avoid I.he interference with the; bumps 313 and 314. Various circuit devices such as a thermi stor, a del errnination circuit, and a protect:on circuit arc mounted onto the front side or rear side of the w: rj ng subsi.raLe 21. 20 [0062] In the top cover 31 configured as described above, the bumps 313 and 33 4 each function as a rib tor enhancing the rigidity of the entire top cover 31 and improving the strength thereof, wi t-h this configuration, the terminal surface Ifrl -is protected against the drop 25 impact of the battery pack 100, and the wiring substrate 21 and various devices mounted thereonto can SP344201WO00 27 be prevented fiom being broken. In addition, the pair of reference pins 311 and the fixing claws 312 allow highly accurate positioning of the wiring substrate 21 with respect to the top cover 31- Ei [0063] Furthermore, since the width dimension Wl of the first concave portion 43 is formed to be larger than the width dimension W2 of the second concave portion 44, the Hgidity of the end o± the top cover 31 on the right side surface 15 side, on which the 10 terminals ?la to 716 of the terminal unit 20 are arranged, is enhanced. Accordingly, the terminals 21a to 21d can be effectively protected against the drop impact. [0064] Moreover, in the top cover 3] of thi s lb embodiment, both side surfaces opposed to each other in the width direction [Z-axis direction) are arc-shaped surfaces, and the first and second concave portions 43 and 44 art formed in the arc-shaped regions of the both side surfaces of the lop cover 31 [Fig. 32} . 20 [0065] Fig. 12 is a plan view showing the front suzface of the top cover 31. The both side surfaces of the top cover 3S, which arc opposed to each other in the width direction, are each formed by a part of a ._..•.. peripheral surface of a cylinder with a predetermined 25 Radius, and when viewed from the front surface of the top cover 31, the first and second concave portions 43 SP344201WOOD and 44 are each provided within a region ot a circumference of a circle y is 42-64 mm {±0.16 M J , and Dz is 29.85 mm :t 0,15 mm. [00751 In recent years, the battery pack has been 20 demanded for thinning and downsizing while maintaining a necessary battery capacity. However, it is difficult for a thin battery pack to have a large battely capacity- When the length dimension and width dimension -of a thin battery pack arc increased, the 3 nl.erfej.ence 25 with a structural portion of a lens barrel or the like is caused, win ch makes it diffi cult to downside a SP344201WOGQ 34 camera body. On the other hand, when the J.hi^knefts diroensi on of the battery pack is increased, the recent demand for the thinning of the electronic apparatus is not met- 5 [0076] In this regard, in the bal.t.ery pack 100 of this embodiment, the dimensions of the respective portions of the battery pack 100 are set to the abovementioned dimensions in order to ensure the th i nning and a necessary battery capacity. The battery pack 100 10 with such a size is suitable for, for examp]e, a battery pack of an imaging apparatus for capturing still images or moving images. [0077] (Shape of terminal window) -) In the battery pack 3 00 of this embodiment, the 15 top cover 31 includes a plurality of rectangular terminal windows %?, from which the terminals 21a to 21d of the terminal unit 20 are exposed to the outside. 3f a cover attached to an end surface of a battery pack is provided with an opening .1 j ke a terminal w Endow, 20 the rigidity of l.he cover is generally reduced, and the cover is easily broken when an external force such as a drop impact is received, for example. In this regard, to enhance the dm ability of the top cover 31 against the. drop impact and the like, in 25 this embodiment, one terminal window of the plurality of the terminal windows 42 that is located at the SP344201WO00 35 outermost position in the Z-axis direction has one corner portion formed in a curvature radius larger than that of the other corner portions of the terminal window. 5 [0G78] Kig. 1H ia ii plan view showing the shape of the terminal windows 42 (42a to 426} of the top cover 31 - fii this embodiment, the terminal window 42a for the positive tcrmina.l 2 3a, wh.i ch is located at the outermost position in the Z-axis direction among the 10 plurality of terminaJ windows 42a to 32d, has a corner portion Cl formed in a curvature radius larger than that nf the other corner portions CO.
