Battery Pack With Improved Safety

Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery pack. The battery pack has a cell stack assembly accommodated in a pack case with no module frame, and thus has an excellent heat dissipation effect during normal operation. In addition, the battery pack may suppress the heat of a corresponding cell stack assembly from being propagated to an adjacent cell stack assembly by forming a separation space between a base plate and the corresponding cell stack assembly, due to vaporization of a thermally conductive pad during abnormal operation in which heating occurs or thermal runaway occurs in any one of a plurality of cell stack assemblies provided therein, thereby improving safety against ignition or explosion of the battery pack.
