Abstract: Abstract The application for patent concerns a bearing bush 6 for a shaft 4 of a turbo charger 1. Furthermore a turbo charger with such a bearing bush. The application is based on the prior art which shows bearing bushes for turbo chargers with axial and radial bearing surfaces. The bearing bush can be made as a single bearing bush with two radial bearing surfaces on its inner surface or can be made of two explicit bearing bushes. Then each of the bearing bushes has a single radial bearing surface on it´s inner surface. Based on this prior art the object of the invention is to get a better radial bearing surface. This is achieved by at least one groove 29 which is helically formed in the at least one radial bearing surface. This helically formed groove 29 (which can also be called a spiral groove 29) allows a better distribution of oil throughout the whole radial bearing surface. If there are two radial bearing surfaces combined in one bearing bush 6 or in two adjacent bearing bushes 6 the rotational direction of the helical groove 29 on the one bearing surface is other than the other one (counter rotating spiral grooves). One further idea which is claimed here in a dependent sub-claim is the fact that the bearing bush 6 is fixed in the housing 5 with a pin 13. The pin 13 is engaged with the bearing bush 6 with axial and radial clearance. Furthermore, the pin 13 comprises a through-bore 24 in its longitude direction to allow the supplier drainage of oil as a lubricant. Furthermore aspects of the invention claimed can be seen from the further depending subclaims as attached in form of a word by word translation of the German claims. Further aspects of the preferred examples can be seen from the attached figures.
