Bend Removal System

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a bend removal system (100) for removing bends from an object (108). The bend removal system (100) may include a first mould (102) that may have a cavity (106) formed therein. The first mould (102) may house the object (108) whose bends needs to be corrected. The bend removal system (100) may further include a plurality of sliding members (110) installed on the periphery of the cavity (106). The sliding members (110) may exert a force perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis (A1) on the object (108). In an example, the bend removal system (100) may include a second mould (112) that may slide along the central longitudinal axis (A1) with respect to the first mould (102) and the second mould (112) may exert a force along the central longitudinal axis (A1) on the object (106).

Specification

Claims:1. A bend removal system (100) for straightening at least one bend in an object (108), the bend removal system (100) comprising:
a first mould (102) having a cavity (106) to hold the object (108) therein, wherein a profile of an inner surface of the cavity (106) being in accordance with a surface of the object (108) facing towards the cavity (106);
a second mould (112) being slidable, with respect to the first mould (102), along a central longitudinal axis (A1) and a surface of the second surface facing towards the object (108) have a profile being in accordance with a profile of a surface of the object (108) facing towards the second mould (112), wherein the second mould (112) is to exert a force on the surface of the object (108), along the central longitudinal axis (A1), when slidable towards the first mould (102);
a plurality of sliding members (110) slidably installed around a periphery of the cavity (106), the plurality of sliding members (110) being slidable with respect to inner walls of the cavity (106), wherein the plurality of sliding members (110) is to exert a force on the sides of the object (108), perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis (A1); and
at least one protrusion (116) installed on the second mould (112), the at least one protrusion (116) is to operate with the plurality of the sliding members (110) to exert the force on the sides of the object (108).
2. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1 further comprising:
at least one stopper (118) installed on the second mould (112), wherein the at least one stopper (118) is to restrict the sliding of the second mould (112) beyond a predefined level.
3. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of sliding members (110) is supported on the first by a spring.
4. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the object (108) is made from Aluminum.
5. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the side of the at least one sliding member (110), in contact with the inner walls of the cavity (106), is tapered.
6. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the force acting along the central longitudinal axis (A1) is of about 100 tons.
7. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the force acting perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis (A1) in range of about 100 tons to 200 tons.
8. A bend removal system (100) for straightening at least one bend in an object (108), the bend removal system (100) comprising:
a first mould (102) having a cavity (106) to hold the object (108) therein, wherein a profile of an inner surface of the cavity (106) being in accordance with a surface of the object (108) facing towards the cavity (106); and
a plurality of sliding members (110), slidably installed around a periphery of the cavity (106), the plurality of sliding members (110) being slidable with respect to inner walls of the cavity (106), wherein the plurality of sliding members (110) is to exert a force on the sides of the object (108) perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis (A1).
9. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the object (108) is made from Aluminum.
10. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the side of the at least one sliding member (110) in contact with the inner walls of the cavity (106) is tapered.
11. The bend removal system (100) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the force acting perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis (A1) in range of about 100 tons to 200 tons.
