Abstract: Bending and shearing hand Tool (Tool) is used for bending and shearing of legs/pins of Integrated circuit/monolithic circuit or ICs. This tool is designed and developed for Brass/copper/steel. i.e the material of the legs/pins of ICs. Both the operation namely bending and shearing is performed at one go.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This Tool helps in bending & shearing of legs or pins of the integrated circuit, monolithic
integrated circuit, SMDs etc. Usefulness of this tool lies that bending and shearing is
done at one go at work bench.
10
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Integrated circuits are in use of electronic industry today. These circuits are brought from
sources and need to be resized in dimension (its pin or legs) as per suitability of use.
Bending or cutting it manually or separately hampered accuracy and results in IC legs of
15 different size. So, this bending and cutting problem has leads to development of
“bending and shearing hand tool”. Now, result of the present invention is suitability of
bend and shear or say size achieved of ICs according to use.
20 SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of Present invention is to provide facility to bend and
shear the legs/pins of ICs according to requirement of use.
In accordance with second aspect of Present invention is to provide a tool having
25 capability of bending and shearing of ICs legs at one go.
In accordance with third aspect of present invention is to provide a user friendly bending
and shearing hand tool.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that it is easily
transportable & easy to carry type bending and shearing hand tool.
30 In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that it can be dissemble
and assemble easily.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that only lower cutter and
upper cutter wear out at a certain length of interval of using the tool and not each and
every item go through replacement.

Detail Description
Bending and shearing hand tool is used for bending and shearing the ICs at one go
while downward movement of punch assembly, can say both the operation is performed
30 at one go. This tool is used after positioning the ICs at die and punch assembly get
movement in vertically downward direction with the help of guide pillar to perform both
the operation simultaneously. This tool has two assemblies, one is lower die assembly
and other one (second one) is upper die assembly. Upper die assembly is situated at
Annexure‐II
upper part of tool and die assembly is situated at lower part of the assembly. Die
assembly position and support to perform the bending and shearing of ICs and upper die
assembly perform bending & shearing operation. Die assembly is fixed in guide pillar
and the part of die assembly is assembled 5 mbled at lower plate. Parts of upper die assembly is
assembled at upper plate and located in guide pillar to move vertically downward.
Sketch “A” Sketch of the whole assembly of bending and shearing hand tool. The lower
plate mounts the die assembly and fixed in guide pillar. Upper part shown in sketch “A”
is upper die assembly and upper plate mounts the parts of upper die assembly.
