Abstract: ABSTRACT BIDIRECTIONAL FLUID FLOW MANAGEMENT The present subject matter relates to a valve assembly 112 for managing bidirectional fluid flow in a battery pack of an electric vehicle. The valve assembly 112 includes a first and second sub-valve 122, 124, each comprising multiple channels. An actuator 144 is provided to control the positions of these channels in different operating modes to change the fluid flow direction. In a first operating mode, fluid from a fluid source 102 is dispensed to an inlet manifold 106 of a fluid utilization unit 104 and drained out from an outlet manifold 108 to a fluid dispensing unit 110. In a second operating mode, the fluid flow direction is reversed. This valve assembly 112 aids in maintaining uniform temperature across the fluid utilization unit 104.
