Specification

The present disclosure relates to the field of dental cleaning apparatus. In particular, the present disclosure provides a biodegradable dental cleaning apparatus and method of preparation of the apparatus from organic resources.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed disclosure, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art. [0003] Biodegradable materials are preferable for dental cleaning apparatuses because natural materials are health friendly. Besides, usage of natural and organic fibers in regular use objects is essential to reduce usage practice of non-degradable or slowly degradable materials like plastics polluting the earth. Therefore a natural dental cleaning apparatus with biodegradable properties may be beneficial.
[0004] Existing literature describes a detachable brush-head made of neem wood,
the bristles being coated with ayurvedic toothpaste. Another literature describes a wooden toothbrush with natural fiber made bristles. A holder for accommodating natural fiber made teeth cleaning twigs have been depicted in another literature. A toothbrush with wooden bristles has been disclosed by a prior-art, the wood pertaining to Salvador Pearl tree. However none of the disclosed apparatus describe a method for extraction of fibers from neem tree for preparing detachable set of bristles attachable to neem wood made handle. Therefore there is need in the art to develop a dental cleaning apparatus and method of preparation from neem tree.
[0005] The proposed dental cleaning apparatus is made of neem wood with
antibacterial properties and helps to keep away oral diseases. The neem wood made handle and bristles of the dental cleaning apparatus is biodegradable and compostable and provides a sustainable product. The proposed method for extraction of natural neem fibers from neem wood for preparation of detachable set of bristles describes an environment friendly process.
