Biodegradable Disposal Tableware And Methods Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT BIODEGRADABLE DISPOSAL TABLEWARE AND METHODS THEREOF Embodiment is related to form biodegradable disposal tableware including various items such as plates, cups, etc. Customary plastic disposal items are having a number of problems which are leading to degradation of environment. It has various downside such as lower heat thresholds, the voluntary isolation of the specific chemical inter connection from plastic in the course of time. Disposal paper utilities are also not an advanced alternate as they also affect environment. This invention has come up with in the light of above-mentioned complication and limitations. It includes agricultural bi-products such as corn cob. Banana leaves, a resin material having higher surface hardness, moisture resistance at elevated temperature, lower water absorption and mould shrinkage. Collect the raw material like deseeded corn cob, banana leaves etc. Sundry the corn cob until its moisture content reduced to 8-10%. Then grind the corn cob to obtain corn husk (fine powder). Mix the corn husk with binding agent. Make desirable shapes of plate from the mixture then coat the upper surface with banana leaf. Sundry the plates for 1-2 days until they dry completely.

Specification

Description:Title of The Invention
BIODEGRADABLE DISPOSAL TABLEWARE AND METHODS THEREOF
Field of the Invention
This invention relates to biodegradable disposal tableware
Background of the Invention
CA2277695C: The invention includes a method for manufacturing an object from corn cob or straw, such as rice straw and wheat straw by forming a powder and injecting molding the powder into an object by hot press such as a container or a plate. The invention also includes the objects made from the straw or com cob. It is waterproof, heat resistant, anti-corrosive, non-toxic, non- polluting and easy to decompose and is not harmful to the environment.
CN104842422A: The invention discloses a processing method for banana leaf sheaths. The method specifically includes the steps of: 1) raw material treatment: after banana harvesting, stripping banana leaf sheaths one by one, removing rotten and deteriorated leaf sheaths and other impurities; 2) water removal: remove water from the banana leaf sheaths obtained in step 1); 3) modification treatment: spraying a layer of modifier to the surfaces of the banana leaf sheaths obtained in step 2), with the modifier being a mixed water solution of urea formaldehyde resin and polyamide in a mass ratio of 1:1-2 and having a mass concentration of 0.1-0.5%, and performing standing; 4) drying: drying the banana leaf sheaths obtained in step 3); 5) bundling and warehousing: collecting the dry banana leaf sheath products obtained in step 4), stacking them neatly and bundling them together, concentrating the banana leaf sheaths, and then carrying out warehousing dry storage. The method provided by the invention employs the modifier composed of urea formaldehyde resin and polyamide to treat banana leaf sheaths and can increase the toughness and color of the banana leaf sheaths.
None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. Present invention is lower water absorption and mould shrinkage. Higher surface hardness and moisture resistance at elevated temperature
