Abstract: Biomimetic technology offers the greatest biological solutions to tackle issues on a range of levels with the objective to preserve the habitat of aquatic species. The present invention relates to development of Biomimetic robotic fish comprising a proximity sensors 1 equipped with both a transmitter and receiver, temperature sensor 2 whose voltage is linearly changing with respect to temperature in Celsius, UV LEDs 3 as they are eco-friendly, all are connected to one sensor unit 4, the sensor unit along with Bluetooth module 5 for bidirectional communication, camera 6 to capture and live-stream visual data and also to monitor its surroundings is connected to main control unit 9, four servomotors 10 to control the angular position and acceleration of the artificial fish, is connected to control unit, water pump 11 to collect water samples, water purifier 12, power supply 13 and server 14.
Description:The embodiment disclosed in Figure 1 and Figure 2 is intended to register the Biomimetic Robotic Fish for Underwater Surveillance. The embodiment disclosed in Figure 1 and Figure 2 is intended to register the Biomimetic Robotic Fish for Underwater Surveillance. The head part 100 has one temperature sensor 102 to detect the variation in temperature of water and IR sensor 104 to detect the presence of obstacle. As soon as the obstacle is detected, the sensor send the signal to the main controller unit Ardunio uno 115 which gives instruction to the servomotors 110, 111, 112 to move and flap the fins 107, 121 away from the obstacle both linearly and rotationally to allow precision while controlling the angular position, acceleration of the Fish Robot. Both the sensors are connected to the node using sensor unit 101. Two way communication between the Control and the Machine is always a required or desired functionality, achieved by using the Bluetooth module HC 05 117. To achieve the same underwater is a difficult task as RF waves do not propagate well in water medium. There is no guarantee that the transmitted wave is received by the receiver. To overcome this challenge concept of a floating antenna 118 is used. The Antenna is placed on a surface which ensures that the same will be floating on water. The Floating antenna ensures that the transmission and reception of the RF waves is smooth and without loss. Moreover the Wireless camera module used doubles as a live streaming video unit and also as Obstacle detector in the case of remote controlling of the fish by the user. The controller powered by a 12V DC source 116 typical rechargeable batteries. Water sampling is also one of the functionality of this current Prototype. This has been achieved with the help of a pump 113 which sucks in water to a storage tank 109, 120. The temperature based trigger built in to the system allows water sample collection 109 with the help of UV LEDs 105, 12 and filter the water using water purifier 108. The servo motors along with water purifier are provided a chassis 114. The entire body is covered in the water proof polymer 119. , Claims:1.The Biomimetic Robotic fish is a multifunctional machine fish; comprise of fish head, body and tail part, it consists of sensor unit, LEDs, IR sensor and temperature sensor, with body part consists of control, communication module, actuators and battery module, the entire of robotic fish is made of soft waterproof rubber material.
2.The Biomimetic Robotic fish according to claim 1 supports bidirectional communication.
3.The robotic fish as claimed in claim 1 have four motors arranged, that control movement, automatic obstacle avoidance and water filtering.
4.The fish takes the sample, note down the pollution content, share it to the sever and filter it.
