Abstract: This blank is obtained by joining two or more overlapping layers of materials by laser welding, and comprises a monolayer region having only one layer of material, and a multilayer region having two or more layers of overlapping materials. The multilayer region and the monolayer region are continuously laser welded, and one end of a laser weld is positioned at an end portion of the monolayer region of the blank, and is a recess-shaped weld end having a recess shape when viewing the blank from an end face.
