Abstract: A bogie (6) for a railway vehicle, comprising a chassis (10), a first axle 5 (16a), a second axle (16b) and a third axle (16c) mounted on the frame, each axle comprising a drive unit (20) mounted on the axle, the second axle being positioned between the first and third axles in a main direction of the bogie, wherein each axle defines a respective first side and second side in the main direction, the drive unit of the first axle being located on the first side of the axle, towards the outside of 10 the bogie in the main direction, and the drive unit of the second axle being located on the second side of the axle, towards the third axle in the main direction, and wherein the bogie comprises a receiving area located between the first axle and the second axle for connecting a drive device.
