, Description:BACKGROUND
Field of the invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a book rack and particularly to a book rack with adjustable shelves.
Description of Related Art
[002] A book rack is an efficient way to arrange and organize books. The book rack can be wall-mounted or simply stand based placed on a floor. The book rack is also a great way of displaying one’s collection of books. Usually, the book rack can be found in homes, offices, schools, and so forth. Most commonly they are found in libraries. A library is a physical building or a room with a collection of the books and resources accessible to a defined community. An individual cannot have such a wide collection of books at home. One can get access to diverse genres of the books and other resources in the library. It shuns a need to buy expensive books and resources. The library is an important part of every educational institute such as schools, colleges, and universities.
[003] However, organizing and storing books require a lot of staff and real estate to house various books and resources. To overcome a problem of the real estate, and to organize the books in a particular order, book racks with shelves arranged vertically are utilized for housing the books. However, students with a short height find it impractical to access the books stored on top shelves. In order to access the books from the top shelves they use mediums such as chairs, ladders, mounted platforms, and so on. These mediums are not safe as they are not sturdy and stable. Also, these methods can cause serious injuries to the students just in case they slip off and fell.
[004] There is thus a need for an improved and advanced book rack with adjustable shelves that can overcome limitations faced by the conventional book racks.
