Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to a bracket used for the purpose of mounting rear turn signal lamps, reflex reflector and rear number plate wherein the said bracket is mounted on the rear fender.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Rear turn signal lamps are mounted in two wheelers, generally in two ways. In some two wheelers these turn signal lamps are merged with the tail lamp in a single casing with different colour schemes for easy recognition. On the other side, in some two wheelers turn signal lamps are placed over the extension coming out of the rear fender on both the sides.

In first case, there is no need of the extension from the rear fender and strength of the fender can be maintained but the tail lamp assembly becomes broader in order to meet the regulatory standards. In the other case where the size of the tail lamp is maintained up to a considerable level, the extension from the rear fender is required in order to meet regulatory framework and that reduces the strength of the rear fender by drilling on the both sides of the rear fender.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bracket for a rear fender of a two wheeled vehicle having first set of holding arrangements on horizontal extremes of upper part of the bracket used for mounting first set of illumination unit (hereinafter turn signal lamps) a holding element at lower part of the bracket for display base mounting (hereinafter number plate), a second set of holding arrangements used for mounting a second illumination unit (hereinafter reflex reflector) such that the second illumination unit is secured between the plurality of first illumination unit and the display base.

Mentioned mounting arrangements for turn signal lamps, reflex reflector and number plate over the rear fender are provided in order to meet the requirements of the regulatory framework by maintaining the design and strength parameters of the vehicle. BRIEF

DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

The present invention will become more fully understood from detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawings which are given by way of illustration only, and thus, are not limited of the present invention and wherein:

Figure 1 is the perspective view showing the different embodiments of the outer side of the bracket.

Figure 2 is the perspective view showing the different embodiments of the inner side of the bracket.

Figure 3 is showing the back side of the two wheeled vehicle depicting the mounting arrangement of the bracket, turn signal lamps and number plate.

Figure 4 is showing the side view of the bracket mounting arrangement over the rear fender.

Figure 5 is showing the cross-sectional view of the bracket mounting arrangement over the rear fender in order to describe the mounting of the turn signal lamp over the bracket.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may utilize their teachings. The invention may have application to all types of two wheeled vehicles.
Referring to Figure 1, perspective view of the bracket is shown for the purpose of explaining the outer side embodiments of said bracket, wherein the reflex reflector mounting slot (7) is located in such a way that the reflector (7a), attached with the reflex reflector mounting slot (7), bracket and the rear fender (12) through reflex reflector screw slots (1), reflects maximum light toward the number plate (9) attached to the bracket thoughts the number plate fixing slots (3). Further, the said bracket is mounted over the said rear fender through the bracket mounting slots (2). Turn lamp left (10) and turn lamp right (11) are mounted over the bracket through the turn lamp mounting slots left (4) and right (6).

Referring to Figure 2, perspective view of the bracket is shown for the purpose of explaining the inner side embodiments of said bracket wherein the reflex reflector screw slots (1) are connecting the reflex reflector with the bracket and the rear fender (12). The bracket mounting slots (2) are fixing the bracket with the rear fender as this slot (2) is extending toward the back side in order to ensure the grip of the bracket over the rear fender (12). Further, the turn lamp mounting slots (4, 6) are providing a passage through the bracket wall so that the turn light signal (10, 11) can be fixed into it.

Referring to Figure 3, back side view of the two wheeled vehicle is shown in order to explain the mounting arrangement of the bracket, tail lamp (8), reflex reflector (7a), turn lamps (10, 11) and number plate (9) over the rear fender (12). Reflex reflector (7a) is fixed in the specific reflex reflector slot (7) provided in the bracket and on the upper ends of the turn signal lamps (10,11) are fixed through the turn lamp mounting slots (4, 6). Further a number plate (9) is mounted over the bracket through number plate fixing slots (3) and the complete bracket assembly is fixed with the rear fender (12) through the bracket mounting assembly (2).

This arrangement of the bracket over the rear fender (12) for holding turn signal lamps, reflex reflector (7a) and the number plate (9) is useful in order to meet the requirements of the regulatory framework by maintaining the design and strength parameters of the vehicle.

Referring to Figure 4 side view of the bracket mounting arrangement over the rear fender (12) is shown in order to depict the exact location of the bracket over the rear fender (12). The bracket is located immediately below the tail lamp (8) so that the tail lamp (8) remains at the immediate upper plane in relation to the plane of the turn signal lamps (10, 11) and the bracket is attached with the rear fender (12) below the number plate (9) and the relax reflector (7a) so that the strong mounting arrangement can be ensured.

Referring to Figure 5 cross-sectional side view of the bracket mounting arrangement over the rear fender (12) is shown in order to describe the mounting of the turn signal lamps (10, 11) over the bracket. The turn signal mounting slots (4, 6) provides a passage through the wall of the bracket, from said passage the turn signal lamps (10, 11) is fitted with the help of screws (16) so that spacing between the left and the right turn signal lamps (10, 11) can be used for the electrical requirements of the turn signal lamps (10,11) and reflex reflector (7a).

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:

1) A bracket for a rear fender of a two wheeled vehicle, comprising:

a) a plurality of first holding arrangement on horizontal extremes of upper part of the bracket, configured to facilitate mounting of a plurality of first illumination unit;

b)a holding element at lower part of the bracket, configured to hold a display base; and

c) a second holding display arrangement on the bracket configured to hold a second illumination unit such that the second illumination unit is secured between the plurality of first illumination unit and the display base;

wherein, the bracket is mounted on the rear fender such that the plurality of first illuminator and the second illuminator are connected to vehicle electrical system.

2) The bracket, as claimed in claimed 1, wherein the plurality of first illuminator, the second illuminator and the holding element are integrated with each other.

3) The bracket, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display base is fixed on single side.

4) The bracket, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display base is fixed on multiple sides.
