PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the disclosure and the manner in which
it is to be performed.

TECHNICAL FIELD
This invention is related to the vehicle braking systems. More specifically, the invention is related to a parking brake system for a vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
The parking brake systems are provided in vehicles for preventing the unintentional movement of the vehicle, forward or backward, particularly when the vehicle is parked at straight or a slanted surface. Therefore, the parking brake systems ensure safety of the vehicle and the occupants thereof. Further, it is also one of a requirement, that the vehicle shall be equipped with the parking brake systems.
Typically, the parking brake systems include a hand brake lever provided proximate to the vehicle driver seat, such that the hand brake lever is accessible to the vehicle driver when the driver is occupying the vehicle driver seat. The parking brake lever is connected to parking brake cables that are used for transmitting the mechanical force from the hand brake lever to a rear brake assembly. The routing of such parking brake cables is done through holding clamps or fixed type of clamps on suspension member or chassis member of the vehicle. However, such conventional routing of the parking brake cables on suspension member or chassis members often interferes with mountings on the vehicle floor or chassis. Further, getting access to such parking brake cables with conventional routing for maintenance and service purposes is often inconvenient.
OBJECTS OF THE DISCLOSURE
An objective of the present disclosure is to provide a simple, reliable, and cost effective parking brake system.
Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a parking braking system which may be easily serviceable.

Further objects and features of the disclosure will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.
SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
The present disclosure relates a parking brake system for a vehicle. The parking brake system includes a parking brake lever hingedly mounted on a cylinder frame through a parking brake lever bracket; a brake cable extending from the parking brake lever; a pulley arrangement guiding the brake cable along the cylinder frame and vehicle floor; and a brake cable routing bracket mounted on the vehicle floor, an opposite end of the brake cable being connected to final brake cables through the brake cable routing bracket.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure-01 illustrates a perspective view of a portion of vehicle utilizing the parking brake system, in accordance to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Figure-02 illustrates a side view of a portion of the vehicle utilizing the parking brake system, in accordance to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Figure-03 illustrates a perspective view of a portion of the parking brake system, in accordance to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Figure-04 illustrates perspective view of another portion of the parking brake system, in accordance to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE

Referring now to the drawings wherein the showings are for the purpose of illustrating a preferred embodiment of the disclosure only, and not for the purpose of limiting the same.
Figure-01 illustrates a perspective view of a portion of a vehicle body 100 utilizing a parking brake lever 200. The vehicle body 100 includes a parking brake system 150, a vehicle floor 102 on which vehicle seats (not illustrated in figures) and other parts such as a cylinder frame 104 (such as CNG cylinder frame) are mounted. The parking brake lever 200 (alternatively also referred to "hand brake lever 200") is a part of the parking brake system 150. The parking brake lever 200 is mounted on the CNG cylinder frame 104, in accordance to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
The parking brake lever 200 of the present disclosure includes a parking brake hand grip 202. The parking brake lever 200 (shown in multiple positions, in figure 1 and 2) is mounted on a parking brake lever bracket 204 which is integrated with the cylinder frame 104. As would be evident, the cylinder frame 104 facilitates mounting of the cylinders 106 on the vehicle floor 102. In one embodiment, an end portion of the parking brake lever 200 is mounted on the parking brake lever bracket 204 which is integrated with the cylinder frame 104.
It may herein be noted that as per one embodiment of the present disclosure, the vehicle on which the parking brake system 150 is employed is a vehicle with rear engine. In such a vehicle the CNG cylinder mounting arrangement may be provided proximate to driving (front) seat. More specifically, the CNG cylinder mounting arrangement (CNG cylinder frame 104) is provided below the driver's seat, towards the front of the vehicle.
The parking brake system 150 further includes a brake cable 205. One end of the brake cable 205 is connected to parking brake lever 200 and other end is connected to intermediate portion 222. The movement of the parking brake lever 200 causes the brake cable 205 (also referred to as "front PB cable") to move. Accordingly, longitudinal forces

are applied (or are released) on the brake cables, when the parking brake lever 200 is moved about the hinged connection, in either of the allowed directions. Typically, such movement of the parking brake lever 20Q with respect to the cylinder frame 104 is regulated by a ratchet mechanism (not illustrated herein).
The parking brake system 150 further includes a pulley arrangement 152. The pulley arrangement 152 is adapted to enable the movement of the brake cable 205, as the parking brake lever 200 is moved. In one embodiment, the pulley arrangement 152 is provided on the cylinder frame 104. Alternatively, the pulley arrangement 152 may be provided on the floor of the vehicle body 100. The pulley arrangement 152 enhances the efficiency of the parking brake system 150.
As best shown in FIG. I, the pulley arrangement 152 includes a first pulley 206, and a second pulley 208. Each of the first pulley ?06, and the second pulley 208, are mounted on brackets 210 & 212. It may herein be noted that in alternative embodiments, the parking brake system 15 may include fewer or more pulleys, such as the first pulley 206, without deviating from the scope of the present disclosure. Each of the first pulley 206 and the second pulley 208 include a peripheral groove. The peripheral groove on the each of the first pulley 206 and the second pulley 208 is according to the external diameter of the brake cable 20.
As best shown in FIG. 1 through 3, the brake cable 205 may pass from the peripheral grooved on a top side of the first pulley 206 and from the peripheral grooved on the bottom side of the second pulley 208. The first pulley 206-may be mounted on cylinder frame 104 by a first pulley mounting bracket 210. Likewise, the second pulley 208 may be mounted on cylinder frame 104 by a second pulley mounting bracket 212. Each of the first pulley mounting bracket 210 and the second pulley mounting bracket 212 may be provided with respective split pins 214. In one embodiment, the split pins 214 make sure that the brake cable 205 always passes from the peripheral groove on a top side of the first pulley 206 and from the peripheral groove on the bottom side of the second pulley

208, irrespective of whether the parking brake lever 200 is moved or not i.e. whether the parking brake is applied or not.
The parking brake system 150 further includes a brake cable routing bracket 216 (also referred to as "floor mounted bracket"), best shown in FIG. 4. The brake cable routing bracket 216 is mounted on the floor of the vehicle body 100. Because of such mounting of the brake cable routing bracket 216, it is positioned within the vehicle cab i.e. it is accessible from the vehicle. In one embodiment, the brake cable routing bracket 216 may have a C-shaped configuration. First arm 217 of the brake cable routing bracket 216 includes a hole. The hole on the first arm 217 of the brake cable routing bracket 216 is adapted to receive the brake cable 205. An intermediate portion 222 may be connected to the brake cable 205 coming from the hole op the arm. The intermediate portion includes two points at which final brake cables 218, 220 may be connected. Particularly, a first parking brake rear cable 218, and a second parking brake rear cable 220 (collectively referred to as final brake 218, 220), are copnected to the two connection points of the intermediate portion 222. The first parking brake rear cable 218, and the second parking brake rear cable 220 may pass through a second arm 223 of the brake cable routing bracket 216. The opposite end portion (not disclosed) of the first parking brake rear cable 218 is connected to one of the two rear wheel brake, and a second parking brake rear cable 220 is connected to the second of the two rear wheel brakes.
Advantageously, the pulley arrangement 152 and the brake cable routing bracket 216 of the parking brake system 200 makes sure that the mounting is done in such a way that front cable can be easily serviceable without affecting the layout.
