It defines a system and method for generation of electricity by means of rotational energy of the bulls. A system and method for generating electricity by means of increasing the velocity of an animal on a mechanical device directly or indirectly attached to the hoof or other part of the animal body to use the force of its muscle contraction and the force produced by its gravity to make spin multiplying wheels in communication to an electricity generator
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[001] The innovation is a sustainable, green & an appropriate technology product. Draught animals used for Sugarcane juice & edible oil extraction by crushing is a traditional rural technology available with mankind since wheel was invented, for thousands of years. Approximately 100 years back, after industrial revolution, it was left to die its own natural death. This technology has been picked up from there, upgraded and blended in tune with 21st century's grade materials, technologies & needs. The use of animals for draught purpose is probably the most important application of livestock to farming in developing countries. With increased mechanization and growth in power operated machinery, there has been a decrease in the population of draught animal but still animal power plays a vital role to perform various agricultural operations. Using a draught animal as the prime mover has the great advantage over photovoltatc, wind and hydro systems that power generation depends on the availability of a suitable animal, rather than the prevailing climatologically parameters.
[002] The principle object of this invention is to promote electricity generation by using available bull power in rural India and creating cluster of rural multi megawatt power plant to serve national interest till the time nation surplus its need of power by environment friendly power generation technology. The present invention provides a system and method for producing electricity using the biological energy of the muscles of animals like bulls by means of a device that optimizes the efficiency of the animal using its gravity and draft force as well as the natural movements of flexion and extension of animals to spin a rotational device that is directly connected to its hoof or other part of the animal's limbs.
[003] Another object of this invention is to promote rural economy and employment generation for rural creating cluster of plant in country. This technology has potential to trigger a Green Revolution of energy kind.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[004] The present invention relates to power generating that is mechanically interfaced with bull-operated structures. A system and method for generating electricity by means of increasing the velocity of an animal on a mechanical device directly or indirectly attached to the hoof or other part of the animal body to use the force of its muscle contraction and the force produced by its gravity to make spin multiplying wheels in communication to an electricity generator. The arrangement of structural components in the bull interface is made to convert and balance an oscillatory motion from one or plural bull power sources along a first axis into rotational motion in the power generating equipment. The oscillatory motion is converted to rotational motion that is output for useful work, and in particular, the generation of electrical current.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[005] The biological energy of the muscles of animals like Ox/bull by means of a device that
optimizes the efficiency of the animal using its gravity and draft force as well as the natural
movements of flexion and extension of animals to spin a rotational device that is directly connected to
its hoof or other part of the animal's limbs and exerts an increasing leverage force on a rotator system
which in turn is connected to one (or more) electricity generator by means of different multiplying
gear.
[006] The invention is a novel approach for generation of electricity and control of power. It consists
of An Electric generator (0.5 KW 12 KW/5 KW/10KW/20KW), Pulley, Pulley Belt, Fly wheel, Gear
Box, Bearing and Blocks, Free Wheel, Rotational Shaft, Inverter, Battery and Wood Shaft.
[007] The Wooden Shaft is one of them. Two or more bullocks pulls a device which is connected to a wooden shaft fitted with the mechanical link wooden shaft (4-5 m) in Length.
[008] The Mechanical link is made up of wood with specifications of 5000 mm length and 137.55 mm diameter solid thick, is capable of transmitting animal energy to RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) increasing gearbox. When animal connected with mechanical link it starts moving in the 5m diameter circular path. In the circular path bullock moves with speed nearly 60m per minute. Bullock moving with the speed of 60m per minute completes one round of circular path powers the RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) increasing gearbox with Approx 4 revolutions per minute.
[009] Gear Box consist of gears. The Rotation speed of Pully of Electrical Generator is increased using a set of Six spur gears boarded in a frame of mild steel. RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) increasing gearbox has configuration of mild steel spur Gears having 119 teeth and pinions of 50 teeth. These gears and pinions are mounted on the 50 mm thick shafts. These shafts are fixed in the heavy duty bearings on both the side ends. Heavy Duty bearings are fixed in the solid heavy duty steel blocks which are mounted on the Main Frame of the machine. Dimensions of the Bearing holding Blocks are 115 mm x 30 mm x 165 mm.
[0010] The prime task function of RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) increasing gearbox is to transfer High Torque Low Speed animal power to generator.
[0011] The Electricity Generator present, converts mechanical energy to electrical energy by Electro-Magnetic Induction. The motion is geared up and it runs the alternator between 800-1600 RPM depending on the Bull's rotational speed. The electricity generator output is AC (alternate Current 145 to 220 Volts as per Bull's rotational speed. AC to DC converter is connected between Electricity Generator and Battery to convert AC output to Battery Charging DC Power. Battery is fed with the constant DC out put from the converter after the application of control action. Electricity is stored in batteries for later use.
[0012] A Rechargeable Battery is an important part. An electric battery is a device consisting of one or more electrochemical cells with external connections provided to power electrical devices.
One or more rechargeable Lead-Acid battery (Power Rating - 12 Volts 100 Ah / 150 Ah/ 200A1V) can be charged with this Bull Power System. And later these charged batteries can be used for any house hold applications like Lighting, Food Storage and Processing (Especially milk and vegetable storage), Personal Safety, Health and Hygiene or Livelihood purposes.
[0013] These batteries require regular water addition for proper functioning. Lead-acid batteries are made up of number of single cells tliat are connected in series with each cell producing approximately 2.1 volts. A 12 V battery consists of six single cells producing an output voltage of 12.6 volts. Single cell of battery consists of a positive plate with a covering of lead dioxide paste and a negative plate that is made up of sponge lead and an insulating medium in between. The electrolyte is a mixture of water and sulphur in which plates are submerged after enclosing them in plastic battery case
[0014] AC to DC converter is used. If the Electrical power output from electricity generator is AC, then AC to DC converter is required to charge the battery, which is connected to the Bull Power System. This is 12 Volt/ 24 Volts System device, carrying approx 90-95% efficiency of conversion.
[0015] Inverter is a system which converts Input DC electrical power to AC output electrical Power The stored Power in the Battery, can be used for various house hold The Technical Specifications of inverter will be varying 12Volts / 24 Volts input system.
[0016] The Belt and Pulley arrangement is used to increase the final speed. Speed can be increased by boarding one pulley of 590 mm on output shaft of the RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) increasing gearbox and other counter pulley of 100 mm on alternator. The belt selected is of High Quality according to Indian standard code.
[0017] Animal speed is variable can change very quickly and the Power Generation is linked to the force and speed applied to the System by The Bull. When the Bull rotated Gear System acquires the threshold speed, the Electrical Generator starts producing enough Voltage to charge the Battery (ies).
[0018] A Frec-Whcel or overrunning clutch is a device in a transmission that "disengages" the driveshaft from the driven shaft when the driven shaft rotates faster than the driveshaft. An overdrive is sometimes mistakenly called a Free-Wheel, but is otherwise unrelated.
[0019] The condition of a driven shaft spinning faster than its driveshaft exists in most bicycles when the rider holds his or her feet still, no longer pushing the pedals. In a fixed-gear bicycle, without a freewheel, the rear wheel would drive the pedals around.
[0020] As we know that the Bull of any animal completes the revolutions on the circular Path with almost un even speed, which results fluctuating Electrical Power Generation. Therefore keeping the above facts in mind, Free Wheel is Fixed between the RPM Increasing Gear Box and the output shaft Pulley to ensure consistency of the final output speed. Which will ensure a constant power generation by the Electrical Generator.
[0021] Even if the Bull stops moving and the Rotational Mechanical Power Input is "Zero" , the output Pulley rotation and the Electrical Power generation must be continuous. In simple words, Free¬wheel separates the moving system from non -moving system.
[0022] Fly Wheel is another important component. A flywheel is a mechanical device specifically designed to efficiently store rotational energy. Flywheels resist changes in rotational speed by their moment of inertia. The amount of energy stored in a flywheel is proportional to the square of its rotational speed. The way to change a flywheel's stored energy is by increasing or decreasing its rotational speed applying a torque aligned with its axis of symmetry,
Common uses of a flywheel include-
[0023] Smoothing the power output of an energy source. For example In this Bull Power System,
flywheel is used in reciprocating "The Bull" because the active torque from the Bull is intermittent.
[0024] Fly Wheel is an Energy storage systems, delivering energy at rates beyond the ability of an energy source. This is achieved by collecting energy in a flywheel over time and then releasing it quickly, at rates that exceed the abilities of The Bull (the Rotational mechanical energy source and RPM Increasing Gear Box.
[0025] Flywheels are typically made of steel and rotate on conventional bearings, these are generally limited to a maximum revolution rate of a few thousand RPM. High energy density flywheels can be made of carbon fiber composites and employ magnetic bearings, enabling them to revolve at speeds up to 60,000 RPM (1 kHz).
[0026] Therefore to conserve the Input Rotational Mechanical Energy produced by The Bull's revolutions, A Steel Fly Wheel is fixed between the Pulley and the Free-Wheel after the RPM Increasing Gear Box, so even if the Gear Box stops due to any reason (ie; bull stops or one bull is being changed with the another, on any sudden stop in the rotation of the Gear Box ), the Electrical Power generator must work continuously and produce continuous Power.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0027] The accompanying drawings, which are incorporated in and constitute a part of the specification, illustrate presently preferred embodiments of the invention, and together with the general description given above and the detailed description of the preferred embodiments given below, serve to explain the principles of the invention.

[0029] Bull power is converted to low torque high speed from high torque low speed by a Specially designed RPM Increasing Gear Box. The motion is geared up and it runs the alternator at 800-1500 RPM . The electricity is in AC form produced by the connected generator, output is converted to DC through a fully controlled converter. Battery is fed with the constant DC out put from the converter after the application of control action. Electricity can be stored in batteries for later use or can be directly coupled to load after conversion of DC voltage to AC voltage through inverter.

[0031] FIG 3 is the schematic view of the power generation bull energy machine wherein the various components are arranged according to this invention. It shows the position and the placement of the different units like the bearing housing, pulley and the various gears and shaft. Also show the flywheel and the free wheel.
[0032] FIG 4 shows the view of the electric battery according to this invention
[0033] This bull powered generator can be integrated with Photovoltaic system, wind. Biomass and diesel powered generator for continuous power supply. Control system also responds to the variations due to load and other integrated systems.
[0034] The invention described herein offers multiple advantages over known bull-powered electricity generating devices such as those described above
1) although it is operable with a single user, the invention allows for more than one Bull to combine their power output in coordinated movement.
2) the device is non-polluting and relies only upon its operators "The Bull" for a power source rather than independent fuel sources.
3) because the Bulls are able to coordinate their power input through coordinated revolutions, the device generates power more efficiently because the Bulls are working together in a Synergy,
4) Free-Wheel ensures the continuous power generation by separating Moving and Non-Moving Parts of the Bull Power System
5) Fly Wheel ensures the Conservation of Input Power and ensures continuous power generation
by giving continuous rotational movements to the Pulley Linked Electrical Power Generator.
I
[0035] One typical trade-off is to increase the mechanical speed ratio, thereby enabling the generator to operate at a higher speed, allowing a smaller and lower cost generator to be used, compared to the present design. This new proposed design has negligible running cost because in case of traditional methods mechanical energy is stored in the form of electric energy in the battery and the power generation system results in lesser cost of generation.
