Specification

DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to mixer grinder appliance, particularly to a bush assembly for mixer grinder jar, which can be lubricated when required to reduce wear and tear.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, a mixer grinder appliance consists of a jar with a rotating metal blade powered by an electric motor positioned in base portion of the mixer grinder appliance. The jar has a bottom portion housing a coupler which mates with coupler in the base portion, when said jar is placed. Other end of the blade is fixed to the coupler through a bush assembly between the body of the jar and the bottom portion to seal said jar and prevent contents from leaking. However, after prolonged use the oil felt gets drained and damaged and thereby the bush wears and tears due to the friction caused by a shaft during rotation. Further, contents in the jar get leaked to base portion of the mixer grinder when O-ring gets damaged due to wear and tear of the bush. Due to the aforementioned drawbacks the durability of the bush gets shortened and hence often it has to be replaced.

US8215022 discloses a food product slicer includes a base and a knife mounted for rotation relative to the base. A slide rod extends in a direction past the knife. A carriage assembly is mounted for reciprocal movement back and forth past a cutting edge of the knife. At least one bearing arrangement connects the carriage assembly to the slide rod to facilitate the reciprocal movement of the carriage assembly. The bearing arrangement includes a lubricant reservoir. A bearing bracket holds a bearing that rides on the slide rod. The lubricant reservoir is fluidly connected to deliver lubricant to the slide rod in proximity to the bearing.

Accordingly, there exists a need for a bush assembly for mixer grinder jar, which can be lubricated when required to reduce wear and tear and to increase durability of said bush assembly.

OBJECTS OF INVENTION
One or more of the problems of the conventional prior art may be overcome by various embodiments of the present invention.

It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a bush assembly for mixer grinder jar, which can be lubricated when required to reduce wear and tear.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a bush assembly for mixer grinder jar, which reduces friction caused due to rotation of shaft of the jar and increases durability of said bush assembly.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION
Thus according to the basic aspect of the present invention there is provided a bush assembly, comprising of:
top housing and bottom housing, with cutout at centre to accommodate:
one or more O rings;
oil seal;
bush; and
oil felt,
wherein the top housing is provided with a pathway with an opening on one of its side,
wherein the bush is positioned between the oil seal and bottom housing,
wherein the oil felt is positioned to surrounded the bush,
wherein the oil felt is positioned between the top housing and bottom housing,
wherein an oil feeding tube is positioned on the pathway, and
wherein the lubricant oil flows through the opening of the pathway through the feeding tube to fed the oil felt.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the bush guides and lubricates shaft of the jar by retaining the lubricant oil in the oil felt.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the oil seal and the oil felt are sealed to the housing using O rings.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the top housing and bottom housing are fastened together by fastening mechanism.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the oil feeding tube is provided with a removable closure.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the lubricant oil is fed through the feeding tube to the oil felt.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the oil felt surrounding the bush brushes against it to provide continuous lubrication.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the bush is sintered bush.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
Figure 1: illustrates bush assembly for mixer grinder jar according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING FIGURES
The present invention as herein described relates to a bush assembly for mixer grinder jar, which can be lubricated when required to reduce wear and tear.

Referring to Figures 1 to 3, the bush assembly comprises of top housing [2] and bottom [3] housing, each of said housings [2 and 3] is provided with cutout at centre to accommodate one or more O rings [5a, 5b]; oil seal [6]; bush [7]; and oil felt [4]. The top housing [2] is provided with a pathway [8] with an opening [8a] on one of its side. The bush [7] is positioned between the oil seal [6] and bottom housing [3]; said oil seal [6] is sealed by O ring [5a] at the top housing [2]. The O ring [5a] at the top housing [2] prevents fluid leakage from the jar to the bush assembly. The oil felt [4] is positioned between the top and bottom housing [2 and 3], said oil felt [4] is sealed by O ring [5b] positioned at the bottom housing [3]. The O ring [5b] at the bottom housing [3] helps to prevents fluid leakage into the oil felt [4]. An oil feeding tube [9] is positioned on the pathway [8]; said pathway [8] is such that lubricant oil fed through the feeding tube [9] passes directly to the oil felt [4] through said opening [8a]. The bush [7] guides and lubricates shaft of the jar by retaining the lubricant oil in the oil felt [4]. The top and bottom housings [2 and 3] are fastened together by fastening mechanism. The oil feeding tube [9] is provided with a removable closure [9a] and the lubricant oil is fed through the feeding tube [9] to the oil felt [4] as per requirement. The bush assembly is positioned within bottom portion [1] of the mixer grinder jar housing.

During operation, the oil felt [4] positioned surrounding the bush [7] brushes against the sintered bush [7] thereby providing continuous lubrication to the sintered bush [7] which thereby reduces friction caused due to rotation of the shaft and increases the durability of the bush [7]. The bush [7] is sintered bush.
