Abstract: The Present discloses provides a cap (100) for a container. The cap (100) comprises a cylindrical wall (1) configured to at least partially enclose a neck of the container, a fixed plate (3), a moveable plate (4) and an actuation assembly (9). The cylindrical wall (1) defines a cavity. The fixed plate (3) is attached with the cylindrical wall (1) in the cavity. The moveable plate (4) is configured for moving between a closed 10 position in which the moveable plate abuts the fixed plate to close the cavity for retaining one or more additives in the cavity and an open position to release the one or more additives from the cavity. The actuation assembly (9) attached to the cylindrical wall (1) and comprises a housing (5), a pin (6) and an actuation lever (8. The housing (1) is configured to accommodate one or more components of the actuation assembly (9).

FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
The present disclosure relates to the field of cap and closures for containers. Particularly, the present disclosure relates to a cap for container that contains one or more additives to be mixed with the liquid contained in the container.
BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

The information in this section merely provides background information related to the present disclosure and may not constitute prior art(s).
Generally, the containers or bottles are used to contain a liquid such as water, soft-15 drink, milk, soda, juice etc. A cap is used to cover the container for retaining the drink safely inside the container. A user may desire to add one or more additives in the drink contained in the container, the additives may be added to vary the taste and properties of the liquid contained in the container. The additives may be any additive such as: salt, sugar, glucose, lemon juice, flavor additive, medicine etc. 20
Conventionally, the additives are stored or carried by a user separately from the container. For mixing the additive, a user has to first remove the cap, pour the additives through the neck of the container and then mix the additives in the liquid contained in the container. This process might be cumbersome. Also, spillage of 25 additives or the drink may occur due to opening of the cap while adding the additives in the container or the bottle. Also, the existing process of adding the additives, consumes more time.
Accordingly, there is an immense need to develop a cap that enables the user to 30 supply the additives without opening the cap and, overcomes one or more limitations of the existing cap and closures.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
The present disclosure provides a cap for a container. The cap comprises a 5 cylindrical wall configured to at least partially enclose a neck of the container, a fixed plate, a moving plate and an actuation assembly. The cylindrical wall defines a cavity. The fixed plate is attached with the cylindrical wall in the cavity. The moveable plate is configured for moving between a closed position in which the moveable plate abuts the fixed plate to close the cavity for retaining one or more
10 additives in the cavity and an open position to release the one or more additives from the cavity. The actuation assembly is attached to the cylindrical wall and comprises a housing, a pin and an actuation lever. The housing is configured to accommodate one or more components of the actuation assembly. The pin is disposed in the housing. The actuation lever is disposed at least partially in the
15 housing and connected with the pin. The moveable plate is attached with said actuation lever for movement of the moveable plate between the closed position and the open position.
In an aspect, the fixed plate comprises a first curved edge configured to be attached 20 with the cylindrical wall for providing a sealing effect between the first curved edge and the cylindrical wall.
In an aspect, the fixed plate comprises a first engagement edge opposite to the first curved edge. 25
In an aspect, the moveable plate comprises a second curved edge configured for abutment and moving against the cylindrical wall.
In an aspect, the moveable plate comprises a second engagement edge configured 30 to be engaged with the first engagement edge for closing the cavity on mating of the first and second engagement edges.

In an aspect, the closed cavity is configured to accommodate the additives to be mixed in the liquid contained in the container.
5 In an aspect, the pin is rigidly secured inside the housing, parallel to a cylindrical axis of the cap.
In an aspect, the cylindrical wall comprises a first elongated slot provided along the cylindrical axis of the cap. 10
In an aspect, the housing comprises a through elongated slot configured to be parallelly aligned with the first elongated slot.
In an aspect, the actuation lever comprises an outer end at least partially disposed 15 in the through elongated slot and, an inner end connected with the second curved edge of the moveable plate.
In an aspect, the outer end defines a protrusion disposed outside the housing to be operated by the user for moving the moveable plate along the cylindrical axis of the 20 cap.
In an aspect, a biasing member concentrically placed around the periphery of the pin for biasing the actuation lever and movable plate towards the closed position.
25 In an aspect, the cylindrical wall comprises a first plurality of threads at an internal surface of the cylindrical wall for mating with the neck of the container.

Further, the 30 use of the expression "at least" or "at least one" suggests the use of one or more elements or additives or quantities, as the use may be in the embodiment of the

disclosure to achieve one or more of the desired objects or results. Moreover, the word "plurality" suggests that there may be more than one element in the embodiment of the disclosure.
5 The present disclosure provides a cap for a container. The cap comprises a cylindrical wall configured to at least partially enclose a neck of the container, a fixed plate, a moving plate and an actuation assembly. The cap may have a cavity configured to store one or more additives. The additives may be any additive such as salt, sugar, glucose, lemon juice, etc. These additives may be added to change 10 the taste and properties of the fluid or liquid contained in the container. The container may be any container such as a bottle or can. The cap of the present disclosure provides a cap that enables the user to supply the additives in the liquid contained in the container without opening the cap.
15 Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a starter generator for vehicles. The starter generator is described with reference to the figures and alternative embodiments; this description is not meant to be constructed in a limiting sense.
A cap (100) may be configured to be used as a closure for the container. The 20 container may have a neck for pouring the liquid in the container or taken out the liquid from the container. The neck may have a second plurality of threads on the outer periphery. The term "outer periphery" is referred to the outer circumferential surface of the neck. The liquid may be any liquid such drink, water, soda, milk etc.
25 Referring to the figures 1-3, the cap (100) comprises a cylindrical wall (1), a fixed plate (3), a moveable plate (4) and an actuation assembly (9). The cap (100) may be configured for removable engagement with the neck of the container for closing and opening of the container. In the embodiment as shown, the cap is provided with a first plurality of threads (2) on an inner surface of the cap (100), to be engaged with
30 a second plurality of threads provided on the neck of the container. The engagement of first plurality of threads (2) and the second plurality of threads, results the closing

of the container that stops the flow of liquid from or into the container. The disengagement of first plurality of threads (2) and the second plurality of threads, results the opening of the container that permits the flow of liquid from or into the container. The plurality of the threads (2) may be located at a lower side of the 5 internal surface of the cylindrical wall (1). In the embodiment as shown, the cap (100) may be configured to rotate in clockwise or anticlockwise about a cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cap (100), for opening and closing of the container. The cylindrical axis (X-X') is the longitudinal axis of the cap (100), as shown in figure 1. In an alternate embodiment, another suitable provisions may be provided in the 10 cap (100) for mating with the container.
The cap (100) may have cylindrical shape. The cap (100) may define a cavity being open at the bottom end and closed at the top end. Further, the cap (100) is configured
15 to contain one or more additives such as salt, sugar, glucose, lemon juice, medicine, etc., to be supplemented in the liquid contained in the container. The cap (100) may have a resealable hole provided at the top end for refilling the additives in the cap. In an embodiment, at least the top end (1001) of the cap (100) may be made of a transparent material, such that a user can inspect and monitor the amount of additive
20 present in the closed cavity.
The cap (100) may be made of any suitable material, for example a polymeric or a composite material. This may further facilitate user to regulate amount of additive that is to be mixed with the liquid contained in the container.

The cylindrical wall (1) may at least partly define a periphery of the cap (100). The cylindrical wall (1) is configured to at least partially enclose a neck of the container. The internal surface of the cylindrical wall may define the cavity to support the fixed plate (3) and the moveable plate (4). The cylindrical wall (1) comprises a first
30 elongated slot (101) provided along the cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cap (100).

The fixed plate (3) is attached with the cylindrical wall (1) in the cavity. The fixed plate (3) may be located in an upper portion of the cavity. In the another embodiment as shown, the fixed plate (3) is inclined with respect to the cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cylindrical wall (1). In an alternate embodiment, the fixed plate 5 (3) may lie in a plane orthogonal relative to the cylindrical axis (X-X'). The fixed plate (3) comprises a first curved edge (301) configured to be attached with the cylindrical wall (1) for providing a sealing effect between the first curved edge
(301) and the cylindrical wall (1). In an embodiment, the first curved edge (301) of
the fixed may be rigidly attached with the internal surface as shown in figures 1-3.
10 The fixed plate (3) may further have a first engagement edge (302) opposite to the first curved edge (301). The fixed plate (3) may have a first curved edge at one side, as shown in figure 2.
The moveable plate (4) may have a second curved edge (401) configured for
15 abutment and moving against the cylindrical wall (1). The moveable plate (4) may
further have a second engagement edge (402) configured to be engaged with the
first engagement edge (302) for closing the cavity on mating or engaging of the first
(302) and second engagement edges (402). In the embodiment as shown, the second
engagement edge (402) is provided with a bend. The bent portion is configured for
20 overlapping with the first engagement edge (302) when the two engagement edges mate with each other. The closed cavity is configured to accommodate the additives to be mixed in the liquid contained in the container. The moveable plate (4) is configured for moving between a closed position in which the moveable plate abuts the fixed plate (3) to close the cavity for retaining one or more additives in the cavity
25 and an open position to release the one or more additives from the cavity. The closing of cavity on mating or engagement of the first (302) and second engagement edges (402), is referred herein as "closed position". In closed position as shown figure 1, the additives may be stored in the closed cavity. The opening of the cavity on the disengagement of the first (302) and second engagement edges (402), is
30 referred herein as "open position". In open position as shown in figure 3, the additives stored in the closed cavity are permitted to be inserted in the liquid

contained in the container. The additives thus can be mixed with contents of the container without removing cap (100) of the container. The movable plate (4) may be configured for movement in a direction parallel to the cylindrical axis (X-X').
5 Further, the actuation assembly (9) is attached to the cylindrical wall (1) of the cap (100). The actuation assembly (9) may have a housing (5), a pin (6), a biasing member (7) and an actuation lever (8). In an embodiment as shown, the actuation assembly (9) may be attached outside the cap (100) and, the cavity defined by the cylindrical wall (1).

The housing (5) is configured to accommodate one or more components of the actuation assembly (9). The housing (5) may be located at an outer surface of the cylindrical wall (1). In the embodiment as shown, the housing (5) may have a through elongated slot (501) configured to be parallelly aligned with the first
15 elongated slot (101) of the cylindrical wall (1). The through elongated slot (501) have an opening on opposite surfaces of the housing. In an embodiment, the housing
(5) and the cap (100) may be formed integrally such that an elongated slot may be
formed having one end on the outer surface of the housing (5) and the other through
end opening at the internal surface of the housing (5).

As shown in figures 1 and 3, the pin (6) is disposed inside the housing (5). The pin
(6) is rigidly secured inside the housing (5), parallel to a cylindrical axis (X-X') of
the cap (100). In an embodiment as shown, two distal ends of the pin (6) may be
attached with the housing (5) so as to rigidly secure the pin (6) its position. The pin
25 (6) may be oriented parallel to the cylindrical axis (X-X').
The biasing member (7) may be concentrically placed around a periphery of the pin
(6) in the housing (5). In the embodiment as shown the pin (6) and the biasing
member (7) are provided for biasing the actuation lever (8) and movable plate (4)
30 towards the closed position. In an alternate embodiment, any other suitable

mechanism may be used for basing the actuation lever (8) and movable plate (4). The biasing member (7) may be a diaphragm type spring.
The actuation lever (8) is disposed at least partially in the housing (5) and connected 5 with the pin (6). A hole may be provided on the actuation lever (8), for receiving the pin slidingly such that the actuation lever (8) may move up/down along the length of the pin (6). The actuation lever (8) may have an outer end at least partially disposed in the through elongated slot (501) and, an inner end connected with the second curved edge (401) of the moveable plate (4). The actuation lever (8) may be
10 arranged in the housing (5) to move the movable plate (4) between the open position and a closed position. The actuation lever (8) may be disposed moveably in the housing (5) such that an outer end of the actuation lever (8) may be actuated by a user to operate the actuation lever along the length of the through elongated slot (501). The outer end defines a protrusion disposed outside the housing (5), to be
15 operated by the user for moving the moveable plate (4) along the cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cap (100). The user may operate the outer end to move the actuation lever (8), by pressing or sliding the outer end by the hand. In the embodiment as shown, the actuation lever (8) has a shape of a cuboid. In an alternate embodiment, any suitable shape may be used.

The moveable plate (4) is attached with said for movement of the moveable plate between the closed position and the open position. The movement of the actuation lever (8) along the cylindrical axis (X-X') may result in corresponding movement of the movable plate (4) along the cylindrical axis(X-X'). Accordingly, the
25 actuation lever (8) can be actuated by a user to move the movable plate (8) between the closed position and the open position. Further, as the actuation lever (8) is biased towards the closed position using biasing member (7), as soon as a user releases the actuation lever (8), the movable plate (4) along with the actuation lever may get restored to the closed position. This way a user can regulate the amount of additive
30 that is to be mixed with the drink. Figure 3 illustrates additives falling from the

closed cavity upon actuation of the actuation lever (8) and moving the movable plate (4) into open position.

We Claim:
1. A cap (100) for a container, the cap (100) comprising:
a cylindrical wall (1) configured to at least partially enclose a neck of the
container, the cylindrical wall (1) defines a cavity;
5 a fixed plate (3) attached with the cylindrical wall (1) in the cavity;
a moveable plate (4) configured for moving between a closed position in
which the moveable plate abuts the fixed plate to close the cavity for retaining
one or more additives in the cavity and an open position to release the one or
more additives from the cavity;
10 an actuation assembly (9) attached to the cylindrical wall (1), comprising:
a housing (5) configured to accommodate one or more components of the actuation assembly (9);
a pin (6) disposed in the housing (5);
an actuation lever (8) disposed at least partially in the housing (5) and
15 connected with the pin (6),
wherein, the moveable plate (4) is attached with said actuation lever (8) for movement of the moveable plate between the closed position and the open position.
20 2. The cap (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixed plate (3) comprises
a first curved edge (301) configured to be attached with the cylindrical wall (1) for providing a sealing effect between the first curved edge (301) and the cylindrical wall (1) and wherein the fixed plate (3) comprises a first engagement edge (302) opposite to the first curved edge (301).

3. The cap (100) as claimed in the claim 1, wherein the moveable plate (4)
comprises a second curved edge (401) configured for abutment and moving against the cylindrical wall (1).

4. The cap (100) as claimed in claims 1 and 2, wherein the moveable plate (4)
comprises a second engagement edge (402) configured to be engaged with the first
engagement edge (302) for closing the cavity on mating of the first (302) and second
engagement edges (402).

5. The cap (100) as claimed in claims 4, wherein the closed cavity is
configured to accommodate the additives to be mixed in the liquid contained in the
container.
10 6. The cap (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cylindrical wall (1)
comprises a first elongated slot (101) provided along the cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cap (100) and wherein the housing (5) comprises a through elongated slot (501) configured to be parallelly aligned with the first elongated slot (101).
15 7. The cap (100) as claimed in claims 1 and 6, wherein the actuation lever (8)
comprises an outer end at least partially disposed in the through elongated slot (501) and, an inner end connected with the second curved edge (401) of the moveable plate (4).
20 8. The cap (100) as claimed in claim 10, wherein the outer end defines a
protrusion disposed outside the housing (5) to be operated by the user for moving the moveable plate (4) along the cylindrical axis (X-X') of the cap (100).
9. The cap (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a biasing member (7)
25 concentrically placed around the periphery of the pin (6) for biasing the actuation
lever (8) and movable plate (4) towards the closed position.
10. The cap (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprises a resealable hole provided
on a top end (1001) of the cap (100), to refill the additives in the closed cavity
