This invention relates to a stand for laptop to facilitate its use in Car/automobile.
Background of the invention
Now-a-days the use of laptop is not a luxury but a necessity; executives, business people, students and kids use laptop while commuting from one place to other place by four wheelers or other automobiles or by other commuting means. During the travel, while using the laptop they face lot of problems; movement of commuting means results the vibration and jerks, which cause the disturbance in working such as fall of laptop from the lap or pressing the wrong key and many others. In view of above there is intense need of laptop holder or stand, which can give relief from the mentioned problems as well as other problems such as experience of heat of laptop on lap, weight of laptop and effect of magnetic field to the human body.
Many of the laptop stands for Car are available in market, but limit its use for front seat only. The front seat laptop stands does not providing any help to the rear seated commuter as they are installed too away from rear seat (near the dash board or gear change lever),it becomes inconvenient to be used by rear seated commuter and also can not be fitted on the back side of front seat as these stands are not designed for such purpose.
US 6315252 tells about removable mounted computer stand for automobiles, the document explains a computer stand for holding a notebook-type computer. The stand, which is free-standing, holds the computer in sight and reach of the driver and is particularly useful for reading location maps. The computer stand comprises a weighted base, a flexible column and a platform for detachably mounting a laptop computer. The stand is stabilized with the help of weighted base but for added safety, a strap is provided which can be used to secure the base to the undercarriage of the passenger or driver seat. The problem with this stand
is that it is useful for the driver or the commuter who is sitting on the front seat.
US 2006278770 tells about airdesk free standnd vehicle mounted 6-axis positionable tray, the document explains about An apparent which support items such as laptop computers and keyboards. The apparatus consists of flat base, furniture legs, folding frame etc. The apparatus explained in the document takes more space to install and which ultimately causes inconvenience, while using it, when commuting in four wheelers or other automobiles or by other commuting means.
US 2006279921 tells about Non-invasive cab laptop computer stand for over-the-road vehicles. The stand comprises a pair of longitudinally extending horizontal arms having forward ends and rear ends, one horizontal arm being attached to an inboard side of the seat and the other horizontal arm being attached to an outboard side of the seat, a curved arm having a horizontal portion extending across the forward ends of the two horizontal arms and being connected thereto, and other supporting arrangements. The use of this stand is not very convenient, as the stand is fixed in the side of seat, which restricts the movement of commuter who is using the laptop.
These problems are overcome by the present invention, which provides convenient use of laptop while on move. The present invention helps person seated on the rear seat and using the laptop or similar devices having the same structure as laptop or doing the paper work such as writing/ arranging papers etc.
Summary of the Present Invention:
In terms of this invention, the stand is made to hold/grip the laptop and also keep laptop vibration/jerk free while on move and to facilitate the commuter
to use laptop conveniently and also to feel themselves that they are in home or at office.
The Main body (Upper and Lower portion) of car laptop stand for rear seat may be made of plastic, fiber, steel and other metal as per requirement and desired properties.
The Hanging rods with eye end, Holding rods with eye end, Hinges, Rivets for Hanging rods and Holding rods are provided in the frame, which may be made of plastic, fiber, steel and other metals.
To hold the laptop or similar structures, a vacuum tightener, Support (for locking), Catch & lever (to give movement to lower portion), Releasing Catch for lock, self Locking device may be made of plastic, fiber, steel and other metals as per requirement and desired properties are provided.
Air bag with holes is provided to absorb the jerk caused by the movement of vehicle which may be made of plastic, rubber,cloth and fiber.
Plastic Sheet with holes is provided over the airbag surface may be made of plastic.
The stand is also fixed with the back side of vehicles' front seat, with the help of seat lock, this help to reduce the lateral vibrations in the stand when the vehicle is moving.
Slider or sliding arrangement may also be provided to shift the laptop in front of adjacent seat to share the screen view with fellow traveler.
Charging point to charge laptop may also be provided with in the stand which helps in avoiding the inconvenience caused by the charging cable.
The Main body may be made in rectangular and square shape or any other geometrical shaper as per requirement.
Statement of the Invention
A car laptop stand for rear seat comprising main body upper portion (1), which is attached with main body lower portion (2) with the help of catch with lever system (9); the main body lower portion (2) is provided with plastic sheet (17) and air bag with holes (16); the air bag with holes is sandwiched between main body lower portion and plastic sheet.

Detailed Description of the invention:
The present invention deals with a car laptop stand for rear seat comprising main body upper portion (1), which is attached with main body lower portion (2) with the help of catch with lever system (9), the main body lower portion (2) is provided with plastic sheet (17) and air bag with holes (16), which is sandwiched between main body lower portion and plastic sheet. The laptop or the devices having the same structure as laptop are placed on the platform formed by the main body lower portion, air bag and plastic sheet. To secure the lap top on the platform minimum one vacuum tightener (7) with lever is fixed with in the housing created through the main body lower portion (2), air bag with holes (16) and plastic sheet (17). In the figure 1, four such vacuum tightener are shown, however number can be increased or decreased as per the structure of laptop or similar objects. The vacuum tightener sticks with lower surface of laptop or similar objects as vacuum is
created between lower laptop surface and vacuum tightener, this helps to minimize the problems while vehicle is moving, which are mentioned in the back ground of invention. To attach the stand with the back of the front seat, minimum one hanging rod (3) having eye end (6) is provided, which is attached with the main body upper portion (1) with the help of rivets (5) or other conventional joining/ connecting means. The eye end (6) is mounted on the neck rest or back rest (13) of front seat to fix the laptop stand. The shape of main body lower portion and main body upper portion can be any of the geometrical shape, preferably square or rectangle. In figures rectangular shaped main body lower portion and main body upper portion are shown as examples. Similarly the shape of the air bag with holes (16) and plastic sheet (17) can be any of the geometrical shape, preferably square or rectangle, which can also be same as the shape of main body lower portion. The stand is also provided with lock arrangement for the purpose of locking the lower portion of stand with the upper portion of stand; hinges (8) to open and close the main body lower portion (2), catch with lever (9), support (11) for locking and securing laptop, and any conventional self locking device (10) are used in proper communication with each other, as the main parts of the lock arrangement. The purpose of support for locking is to cover the laptop while in locked position and to provide the extra support to the laptop while the stand is open and vehicle is moving. The position of main body lower portion (2) can be adjusted with respect to the main body upper portion (1) with the help of catch with lever (9). The adjustment of body lower portion (2) with respect to the main body upper portion (1) can range from 0 ° to 180 °, as per the requirement of the user. Preferably this range should be 80° to 140°.
To prevent the stand from the lateral vibrations minimum one holding rod (4) is attached with the main body upper portion (1) with the help of rivet (5) or other conventional joining/ connecting means. The holding rod is fixed through eye end (6) with back rest lock (19) of front seat and it gives support to the stand. In figure 1, two holding rods are shown, which provide support to the stand. The stand as explained here may be a multipurpose object, to
facilitate the charging of the laptop or other electrical devices a charger point can also be provided in the stand.
A slider arrangement can be used as a preferred embodiment in other variants of the stand, which will help in the situation, when only one stand is used in the car, and the other person who is sitting on the seat away from the stand, wants to share the screen of laptop, in that case the main body lower portion (2) can be shifted near to him with the help of slider. For this purpose sliding arrangement are fixed between main body upper portion and main body lower portion which can be used as joining hinges of main body upper portion and main body lower portion and as slider as well. The arrangement is shown in figure 2.
The parts of the stand can be made of plastic or steel or any other suitable metal as per the requirement.
The car laptop stand for rear seat explained in the complete specification is a stand which helps person seated on the rear seat of vehicle and using the laptop or similar devices/ objects having the same structure as laptop or doing the paper work such as writing/ arranging papers, with out any disturbance because of jerks, when the vehicle is moving.

I Claim:
1. A car laptop stand for rear seat comprising main body upper portion (1), which is attached with main body lower portion (2) with the help of catch with lever system (9); the main body lower portion (2) is provided with plastic sheet (17) and air bag with holes (16); the air bag with holes is sandwiched between main body lower portion and plastic sheet.
2. A car laptop stand as claimed in claim 1, where in minimum one vacuum tightener (7) with lever is fixed with in the housing created through the main body lower portion (2), air bag with holes (16) and plastic sheet (17).
3. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in, hanging rod (3) having eye end (6) which is attached with the main body upper portion (1) with the help of rivets (5) or other conventional joining/ connecting means, the eye end (6) is mounted on the neck rest or back rest (13) of front seat to fix the laptop stand.
4. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in the shape of main body lower portion and main body upper portion is any of the geometrical shape, preferably square or rectangle.
5. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in the shape of the air bag with holes (16) and plastic sheet (17) is any of the geometrical shape, preferably square or rectangle, which is preferably same as the shape of main body lower portion.
6. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in stand is provided with lock arrangement which comprises hinges (8) to open and close the main body lower
portion (2), catch with lever (9), support (11) for locking and securing laptop, and any conventional self locking device (10).
7. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in main body lower portion (2), which is used to keep objects is adjusted at an angle ranging from 0 ° to 180 °, with respect to main body upper portion (1) with the help of catch with lever (9).
8. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims, in which minimum one holding rod (4) attached with the main body upper portion (1) with the help of rivet (5) or other conventional joining/ connecting means, where in holding rod is fixed through eye end (6) with back rest lock (19) of front seat, which stops the lateral vibrations while vehicle is moving.
9. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in sliding arrangement (18) fixed between main body upper portion and main body lower portion which works as joining hinges of main body upper portion and main body lower portion and as slider as well.
10. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in a charger point is provided in the stand to facilitate the easy charging of electrical devices.
11. A car laptop stand as claimed in any of the preceding claims where in the parts of the stand are made of plastic or steel or any other suitable metal as per the requirement.
12. A car laptop stand for rear seat, substantially as herein described with reference to the foregoing description and figures.
