Carbonation Of Basic Oxygen Furnace (Bof) Slag And Application Thereof

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to method of carbonation of basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slag. The method comprises preparing slurry of the BOF slag, wherein the BOF slag is having particle size ranging from about 50 µm to 100 µm, followed by heating and contacting with carbon dioxide. The method of the present disclosure is simple, economical, energy efficient and leads to significantly reduced carbon footprint.
