Cathode Active Material, And Cathode And Lithium Secondary Battery Comprising Same

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cathode active material and a method for manufacturing same. The method for manufacturing a cathode active material of the present invention comprises the steps of: mixing a transition metal precursor and a lithium raw material and subjecting the mixture to primary firing so as to prepare a lithium nickel-based oxide in the form of a single particle or quasi-single particle; subjecting the lithium nickel-based oxide in the form of a single particle or quasi-single particle to secondary firing; and mixing the secondarily fired lithium nickel-based oxide with a boron raw material and subjecting the mixture to heat treatment so as to form a coating layer.
