, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a monitoring system. The present invention more particularly relates to a cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Producing high-quality food with a low ecological footprint and high animal well-being is one of the greatest challenges of modern livestock production systems. In order to fulfil these requirements, farmers invest more into their properties, resulting in high-value farms and an increasing necessity to guard, track and monitor all assets with the help of innovations. Those technologies need to seamlessly and proactively integrate to turn the industry into a smart and sustainable one. While the number of connected devices continues to rise simultaneously with the growing demands on the agri-food sector, particularly precision livestock farming requires reliable, affordable, low-power, wide-range network technologies and smart sensors.
Now a day’s food features is not only decided by the overall environment and security of the ending product but also by the animal’s welfares status by which the food is produced. When we will develop the animal’s health, on that time it will affect the quality of product, pathology and safety. The financial and common activities of human culture is very important in developing countries where many people depends on livestock based activities and this livestock production stay for many years. Dairy ranchers produces greatest staple sustenance in the world i.e. Milk. The quality and security of milk and its results are completely related to provisions of sanitization and atmosphere. Good sanitization helps to increase the quality and importance of the product and basically establish accomplishment or failure of a dairy ranch. At this stage security of cattle health and safety is important for providing extreme quality milk. In the primitive days, skilled ranchers use to observe their cattle for several hours to understand their health complications but at the present stage, the observation is reduced. Dairy cattle’s are homoeothermic and necessary to maintain continuous body temperature, respiration, humidity, heart beat and rumination. The regular temperature of cow is 38.5-39.5oC. When the temperature is below 38.5-39.5oC the diseases arises are indigestion, milk infection etc. and when the temperature is above 41?C the diseases arises are influenza and anthrax. When the temperature of the animal is very high, on that time it may die. Humidity can reduce heat exchange and have enervating impact on the cattle. When the stress will be more on that time milk quality will reduce.
So there is a need for a cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things which helps in dairy ranchers to improve milk profit, quality and it reduces the infection stress on the dairy herd and provide great level of animal security. In the Wireless Sensor Based cattle health monitoring system, critical parameters affecting cattle health which includes body temperature, respiration, humidity, heart beat and rumination are continuously monitored through sensors and microcontroller. Microcontroller is utilized to sense the various activities of animals like body temperature, respiration, humidity, heart beat and rumination. Wi-Fi module is used as transceiver.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to provide the farmers with good efficiency. The microcontroller controls the overall process taking place in the farm. The cattle body temperature and moisture level is sensed with the help of sensors and the values are displayed with the help of an LCD display.
Another object of the present invention is to help total automation in cattle farm and it leads to increasing the productivity and monitor the cattle’s health parameters and take some necessary action in some critical conditions.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
Accordingly, a cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things is disclosed. A cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things (IOT) comprising of; sensors for monitoring various physiological data (temperature, rumen and body activity, pH level); transferring all the data to the microcontroller through Wi-Fi; transferring the data to the database of the website which obtains the data and makes accessible for the data administering; and sending the animal health graph to the doctor mobile using WIFI module.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
Fig 1 is the flowchart for the cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH RESPECT TO DRAWINGS:
The present invention is a cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things (IOT). The present invention reduces the human effort. The present invention saves the cattle life and Improve the quality of output. It continuously monitor the cattle health parameter. We can use this system in poultry farms, Cow farms, Sheep farm, Sericulture farm.
The present invention provides the farmers with good efficiency. The microcontroller controls the overall process taking place in the farm. The cattle body temperature and moisture level is sensed with the help of sensors and the values are displayed with the help of an LCD display. The present invention helps in total automation in cattle farm and it leads to increase the productivity and monitor the cattle’s health parameters and take some necessary action in some critical conditions.
In one embodiment, The present invention gets all the data from website for further analysis. Smart ventilation system improves cattle health by preventing environment to reach critical. Smart ventilation and smart lighting saves consumption of electricity which leads to save a lot of money. This system saves time and maintenance costs for the farmer ensuring improved cattle health and high yield.
A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a system obtained by a huge amount of sensor nodes where every node is armed with a sensor to identify physical sensations such as temperature, stress, light etc. The sensor node includes four sections: power and power administration unit, a microcontroller, a sensor and wireless transceiver. The sensor is the link of a wireless sensor network node which gives the atmosphere and tool status. The sensors are used to collect and transmit the signs such as sensations, light and natural signs and then transfer it to the microcontroller. Microcontroller receives the content from the sensor and development the content accordingly. The Wi-Fi module transfers the content, so that the physical accomplishment of interaction can be achieved. The present invention helps to monitor cattle health, five sensors are used i.e. body temperature, respiration, humidity, heart beat and rumination.
A smoke detector or smoke alarm is a device that detects smoke and issues an alarm to alert nearby people that there is a potential fire. Smoke detectors can work by optical detection (photoelectric) or by physical process (ionization), but some smoke detectors also utilize both types of detector to increase the sensitivity to smoke. The present invention helps in sending SMS through GSM module and fire extinguishing vehicle. This features increases the safety and reliability of the smoke and fire detection technology.
The system is thus made up of a sensors for monitoring various physiological data (temperature, rumen and body activity, pH level), and a cloud-based server application to provide accurate information for daily operations. At the same time, involving multiple types of farms and connected supply chain stakeholders across different regions helps to further develop and deploy the latest innovations required to perform efficient and sustainable livestock farming and animal breeding.
Body temperature sensor, respiration sensor, humidity sensor, heart beat and rumination sensor with interfacing to microcontroller. It (database of the website) obtains the data and it makes accessible for the data administering and data interact unit. The sensors are allowed for simple and general automatic measurement of numerous health factors. Such health sensors are mounted on the cattle body, which continuously observe the body issues of the cattle like body temperature, respiration, humidity etc. and delivers output in the type of electrical signs. These signs are then compared to a standard limit of normal values set as the starting point in the database of the website. The main function of it is, when the animal suffer from disease people use to take that animal to the doctor for diagnosis but sometimes doctors are not available in hospitals. so using this advance monitoring system we can sense the various activities of animals like body temperature, respiration, humidity etc. and we can send the animal health graph to the doctor mobile using WIFI module.
In another embodiment, A cattle health monitoring system based on internet of things (IOT) comprising of;
a. sensors for monitoring various physiological data (temperature, rumen and body activity, pH level);
b. transferring all the data to the microcontroller through Wi-Fi;
c. transferring the data to the database of the website which obtains the data and makes accessible for the data administering;
d. sending the animal health graph to the doctor mobile using WIFI module.
