, Description:Technical Field of the invention:
The present invention generally relates to gaming, and more particularly to the online skill based games compatible with all types of electronic devices, which also helps the players to earn money.
Background of the invention:
An online game is a game that is primarily played with the help of internet facility. The online games are ubiquitous on modern gaming platforms, including PCs, consoles and mobile devices, and also span various genres. There are several games which are available in market which allows the users to pay first and then earn money, in which many are illegal, which can include cricket betting, card games etc.,
With the increasing demand for such games, they are several games which have made their place in the market, through which the players can earn money. The online-based games have been increasingly developing at a faster pace, but the demand in the market is not been met.
There are a few mathematics based games which are patented, which are listed below.
US patent application 20110275038A1 by Willi Penner discloses an educational math game for mathematics, which has a poly outline or spherical shape board with a continuous play path along its edge and is labelled with different mathematical strands. Strands include question cards, segments labelled as mathematical concepts, and a monetary amount. Game pieces are included but are not part of the game board itself. When a player tosses a positive integer with both dice (E.g. cube subtracted from decahedron) and lands on a segment, he/she will receive credit for correctly answering a strand card question. If the dice toss result is negative, he/she may not attempt a question. If segments are credited to other players, he/she must pay a penalty derived from a mathematical equation. Players will have opportunities to place desks/tables on their credited segments. Greater fees occur with desks/tables present. Players track losses/gains on a money tracking card. The player with the most amount of money after a set time, or a player who has made all other players forfeit wins the game. A means of playing the present game is also disclosed.
US patent application 3633915A by Henry E Lippert discloses a game of chance which is a table-type betting game that simulates gambling on races at a horse or dog track. The game includes an AMOUNT OF BET circle, a number of ODDS DISCS, and a BANK. An indicator, rotated over the bet circle, determines the amount of a player's wager. The BANK is always the eventual winner, due to specially designed ODDS DISCS. Each disc is divided into segments of varying sizes, and each segment carries a betting odd, the reciprocal of each of the betting odds being greater than the corresponding segment's proportional share of the periphery of the disc. The discs are interchangeable, and each disc represents one game or ''''race.'''' An arrow rotated over an odds disc determines the winning player and the odds he receives.
US patent application 5273431A by Thomas G. Charouhas discloses an educational game and method of playing said game, which is an educational linguistic game includes a game board having a number of separate, spaced tracks, each track being divided into a number of separate, sequential, colour coded spaces bearing separate playing instructions, depending on the colour of each space. The game also includes a number of dice, a number of player's tokens for moving along the spaces of the tracks, a roulette wheel bearing monetary indicia, play money and decks of educational game question cards, the number of the decks corresponding to the number of tracks, each deck being of a different level of difficulty of questions on the cards thereof. Game operating cards are also included: "chance" cards determining whether a player wins or loses play money; "no penalty" cards to pay off fines for wrong answers to questions on the game question cards; and, "player's choice" cards which permit a player to select the type of game question to be answered. The method is played by rolling dice and moving tokens along the spaces of the tracks, following instructions set out in those spaces and winning and losing money as a result of correctly and incorrectly answering questions on the question cards, until a predetermined game-winning amount of money is won by one of the players.
Though the prior art patents discloses various games which are played for money, they are not purely based on only the mathematics skill of an individual and are board games which has to be played physically, which also allows them to earn money while playing the game.
Therefore there is a need for a system which is purely based on the mathematical skills of an individual which allows them to earn money based on the same and also which can be played at any time and from anywhere.

The game of skills is a multi-player game where any number of players can join the games which are scheduled at different times in a contest by paying an entry fee. Once the entry fee is paid by the player, they are granted access to enter the contest in which several games with different entry fees are scheduled. The player can choose to play all the games by paying the entry fees. The player can join a contest with an entry fee and the collected total amount gets divided between the winners after deducting the platform fee charges by the company to provide the service.
FIG 1 illustrates the plot of game in the present invention. With reference to FIG 1, the game plot is disclosed where the entry fees for game 1 whose boxes are displayed is ?1, and a total of 2 tickets are purchased. The number of maximum winners is set to 1, and the winning amount would be ?1.80. In this game, the player would have to provide answer in the form of a flexi bar, where the answer would be a flexible range which has to be selected from the provided range which starts from -1000 to +1000. The player would have to add the numbers in blue boxes, and subtract the numbers in the red boxes, by ignoring the numbers in the green boxes and they have to provide the range in which the right answer falls.
FIG 2 illustrates the result of the game which is disclosed in FIG 1. With reference to FIG 2, a fixed time of 30 seconds is given to all the players to provide their answers, and the exact time at which the player locks their answer is recorded in the application which is displayed on the screen as locking time. The player would have to select a range in which the right answer would fall into, and if the answer falls in the range, the player wins.
FIG 2 also discloses the parameters of other games which are simultaneously going where the entry fees is ?7, where total 2 tickets are sold and the maximum number of winners is set as win, therefore the winner gets a winning amount of ?12.60. Similarly in game no 3, the entry fees is ?9 and total 2 tickets are sold, and the maximum number of winners is set as 1, therefore the winner gets a winning amount of ?16.20. Each game has s separate grid of boxes with different numbers which the player has to choose to answer, by paying the entry fee to the game.
Another embodiment of the present invention discloses the two formats of game which includes fixed slot and flexi bar. Once the game starts at the scheduled time, the players are expected to add the value in the blue boxes, subtract the values in the red boxes and ignore the values in green boxes. After making the calculations, the player would have to choose an answer from given options.
FIG 3 illustrates the use of fix slot format in a contest. In the fixed slot format, the players would have to provide the right answer to a game from a fixed range for example: [-10 to -4] [-3 to 2] [3 to 10], for a particular game, whose entry fee is ?5 and the number of maximum winners can be 40% of the total tickets purchased i.e. 40% of 2100, which comes to 840 winners. Similarly in game number two, the entry fee is ?50 and the number of maximum winners can be 40% of the total tickets purchased i.e. 40% of 2100, which comes to 840 winners.
FIG 4 illustrates the use of flexi bar format in the contest. With reference to FIG 4, flexi bar format is disclosed where the players would have to provide the answer by placing a bar anywhere in the flexible range for example [-100 to +100]. The bar can be having a range of 10 numbers, 20 numbers, 40 numbers, 60 numbers and so forth.
In accordance with the present invention, once the player makes the calculations either in the fix slot or the flexi bar format, the player would have to lock the answer by lock answer option, which records the time in which the player has answered the question. Every game in the contest has a set percentage for maximum number of winner such as 40%, 10% and so forth, based on which the total numbers of winners for a game is calculated.
Another embodiment of the present invention discloses different modes in which the contests can be played which can include public mode and private mode. In public mode, any number of players can join a contest until the time of entry to the contest is closed. The players can compete with each other and try to win maximum amount of money through the scheduled games by doing correct calculations and providing right answers the provided ranges, in minimum time.

The players can also withdraw the amount which they have won through the game directly into their bank account. The wallet of the software application has two features including unutilized account and withdrawable balance. The amount deposited by the player will be reflected in unutilized account and the amount won in game/contest will be transferred to the withdrawable balance. Also, the commission received by the player will be transferred to withdrawable balance. The user can also transfer their money i.e. digital money to other player’s wallet. The wallet also shows the transaction history which is transparent in nature so that every transaction that is made is recorded.
According to the present invention, the player can purchase the tickets to any number of games through the wallet in which they can add money. The number of tickets purchased for a particular contest is updated online on real time basis until the entry is closed, as there are no fixed number of tickets set for the games in the contest. As the tickets purchased for the contest goes on increasing, the maximum number of winners and winning amount also gets updated in real time, as the number of tickets increase by time before the registration for the contest closes. Based on the percentage which is set for the maximum number of winners with respect to the total number of tickets purchased for a game, the winning amount is calculated and is equally distributed among all the winners.
The players after registration with the software application can join the contest; give answer using their skills in the given time. The players would have to pay the entry fee for joining the contest at the beginning of the game, and the player who wins the game can win the total collected amount from all the players after deduction of the platform fee. Additionally, the players can join the game through public mode and private mode as well. The present invention provides the players an opportunity to earn money without investing any money through hosting a contest in private mode, as the present invention offers various commission packages that would be at discounted rates.
According to the present invention, the players can operate or play the game from anywhere in the country apart from the restricted states. This gives opportunities to players to have an extra income by investing minimum stakes anytime they wish to play the game. The speciality of this gaming application is that, the users win or lose is totally dependent on their own gaming mathematical skills and not on any third party’s skill. Therefore, winning or losing on an individual is totally is a result of the individual’s gameplay.
The game which is described in the present invention is based on skills of an individual. The skills are purely related to mathematical calculations. As everyone will be well versed with basic addition and subtraction skills, it provides a huge scope to players to enter a contest where each and every player has an equal potential to attempt to win the contest using their skills.
There are several advantages of the present invention.
There are no application based gaming opportunities available for people, which they can use as a source of income, where their winning is totally based on their own mathematical skills.
Another advantage of the present invention is that it, removes the corrupted illegal activities like betting, which are also done for the purpose of earning cash.
Another advantage of the present invention is that, as all the transactions are white money, there is no scope of any fraud.
Another advantage of the present invention is that, the players can add money to the wallet in the software application through their bank account and can also withdraw the amount back to their bank account, which provides ease in transacting the money
As explained above, the present invention charges the platform fee over the collected total amount and distributes the rest of it to winners. The platform fees can vary from time to time. The system automatically reflects the winning amount and maximum winners as the number of tickets for the contests goes on increasing.
The present invention is better understood with the help of examples.
Example 1:
A total number of 1000 players enter a contest, where the entry fee for the contest is ?10, and there are a total of 1000 tickets sold. So for this contest, a total of ?10,000 is collected. In case the platform fees is set as 10%, then the total winning amount for the players’ would be ? 9,000, which is ?10000 subtracted by 10% of ?10000. If the maximum number of winners is set as 40%, then out of 1000 tickets, fastest 400 tickets with right answer can win the contest. The winning amount of ? 9000 is distributed among the 400 winners, where each winner gets ?22.5.
Example 2:
A total number of 1000 players enter a contest, where the entry fee for the contest is ?10, and there are a total of 1000 tickets sold. So for this contest, a total of ?10,000 is collected. In case the platform fees is set as 10%, then the total winning amount for the players’ would be ? 9,000, which is ?10000 subtracted by 10% of ?10000. In the case where there is only one ticket with right answer, then the entire winning amount i.e. ?9000 will be transacted into the winner’s wallet.
Example 3:
A total number of 1000 players enter a contest, where the entry fee for the contest is ?10, and there are a total of 1000 tickets sold. So for this contest, a total of ?10,000 is collected. In case the platform fees is set as 10%, then the total winning amount for the players’ would be ? 9,000, which is ?10000 subtracted by 10% of ?10000. In case there is no single player who has given a right answer, then the system might, in some or the other form, try to distribute that collected amount to the users of the application.
