Ceramic Matrix Composite Ring Shroud Rentention Methods – Cmc Pin Head

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure is directed to a retention assembly 100 for a stationary gas turbine component 74. A first stationary gas turbine wall 84 defines a first wall cavity 112 and a second stationary gas turbine wall 84 constructed from a ceramic matrix composite defines a second wall cavity 102. A pin shaft 106 constructed from a first material includes a first shaft end 114 and a second shaft end 120. A pin head 110 constructed from the ceramic matrix composite includes a first pin head end 118 and a second pin head end 136. The pin head 110 defines a pin head cavity 116 extending inward from the first pin head end 118. The first shaft end 114 is positioned in the first wall cavity 112, and the second shaft end 120 is positioned in the pin head cavity 116. The second pin head end 136 is positioned in the second wall cavity 102. The first material is different from the ceramic matrix composite. FIG. 1
