Ceramic Matrix Composite Ring Shroud Retention Methods Finger Seals With Stepped Shroud Interface

Abstract: A retention assembly 100 for a gas turbine component 84 including a first and a second gas turbine wall 84, 74 respectively defining a first and a second surface 102, 104. A retainer 106, positioned between the first and the second surfaces 102, 104, includes a flange 108, contacting the first surface 102. A plurality of fingers 116 extends outwardly from the flange 108. A first finger portion 110 extends away from the first turbine wall 84 toward the second wall 74. A second finger portion 112 connected to the first finger portion 110 extends substantially parallel to the flange 108. The second finger portion 112 of a first finger 116a is positioned in a first slot 114a defined in the second surface 104. The second finger portion 112 of a second finger 116b adjacent to the first finger 116a is positioned on the second surface 104 adjacent to the first slot 114a. FIG.l
