DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present subject matter relates to a charging system to enhance lifecycle of traction batteries and method of manufacturing thereof.
BACKGROUND
[002] The existing traction battery charging done either by constant current or constant voltage method which does not provide a good scope to adjust the charge current as per change in environmental parameters.
[003] Hence there is a need of a charging system to enhance lifecycle of traction batteries.
DESCRIPTION
[004] The present subject matter solves the aforementioned and other problems by providing a controlling charge current based on variation in environment temperature, battery temperature and battery instantaneous voltage.
[005] In one embodiment, the present subject matter discloses a battery charging, monitoring and controlling system characterized by the charging, monitoring and controlling of battery depend upon various environmental parameters to adjust the current flow and value. Here the battery charging, monitoring and controlling system enhanced battery performance and lifecycle.
[006] The present system continuously monitors the environmental factors vis-a-viz battery temperature and instantaneous battery voltage to control the charging.
[007] The system adjusts the charge current value as per the variation of environmental parameters.
[008] The uniqueness of present invention is to adjust battery charge current based on environmental parameters, thereby enhance battery performance and lifecycle.
