Child Health Monitoring Device In Borewell

Abstract: Today, the utility of resources are increasing simultaneously. Due to increasing population and resource utilization, one of the major demands is for water. Thus in order to satisfy this demand mankind introduced the bore well process. The death rate of children is increasing in our country due to uncovered and unused bore well. But once the bore wells are abandoned its mostly left uncovered. The main objective of this invention is to develop a device for monitoring the health of the child when stuck inside the borewell. This device will be of high efficiency, low cost, and easy to use. This device transfers the monitored data through wireless communication. The camera placed at the bottom monitors all the way throughout the borewell until the child is found. Moreover this monitoring device consists of DHT11,methane, oxygen and MMwave sensors. Different parameter sensing is carried out with the help of these sensors.

Specification

TITLE OF INVENTION: CHILD HEALTH MONITORING DEVICE IN BOREWELL.
FIELD OF INVENTION: This invention falls under electronics for child observation and to provide better oxygen supply in the Bore well.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
India is a largest country with huge population draws more groundwater due to water scarcity by digging the surface of Earth. The demand of water is high in most of the sectors. The National Disaster Response force says that more than 30 million unused bore wells are there which causes the children to fell down in that bore wells. In India about 85% drinking water supply is from this groundwater. Thus there is a rapid increase in these ground water usages. Normally for domestic purpose 4.5 inch borewells are drilled. Whereas for the purpose of high yield 6 inch bore wells are drilled. In the year of 1970 borewell technology was introduced in India in order to deal with water demand. The bore well is used to draw water for use and forgot to close the unused one. Study states that since 2009 about 40 children fell into borewells and about 70% of the rescue process mostly fails. This purpose will become a huge disaster and death trap to lots of children in our country.
The major cause for this trap is fell while playing, covering the bore well using temporary covers, no warning board and unclosed bore wells. So when a child accidently falls in the bore well the rescue operation takes place. In recent times the rescue method of digging a well next to the bore well to the depth where the child is stuck and making a tunnel which connects the two is taking place. But at the same time monitoring the child's health is also very important. The oxygen level keeps decreasing as time goes on. So this may end up as a threat to the child's life. The detection of heartbeat in the child is done by using

millimetre wave technology. Millimetre wave technology penetrates clothes also it finds the heartbeat rate, breathing and grossing. It eliminates the noise and motion due to gross movement and analyse only the heartbeat. Wireless RFID receiver and transmitter are used to transfer data to the computer.
One example is disclosed in patent number AU2020102027A4. It comprised of smart helmet to rescue the fallen child into the uncovered bore well. The proposed system is wireless health monitoring system which provides data of child's condition inside bore well.
The novelty of this invention is
• RFID is used to transfer data from bore well to computer.
• The device is smaller in size which can be used in different size of bore well.
• Oxygen sensor is used to measure oxygen content present inside the bore well.
• Thermal imaging camera used instead of night vision camera which can see even in absolute no visible light.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION:
• The main objective is to measure the depth and location of the stucked child in the bore well using millimetre wave technology.
• To measure the rate of heartbeat of the child without physical touch using millimetre wave technology.
• This invention provides oxygen gas supply in the bore well which helps in increasing the survival of child inside the bore well.
• This invention is wireless based health condition monitoring which helps in transferring data exactly.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
The motivation of this invention is to overcome the challenges faced by defender(rescuer) to save the child in the borewell by monitoring the health of the child by providing oxygen supply.
This invention is necessary for now a day because of the following reasons:
• Small size and low cost
• User friendly and faster in action
• Provide oxygen at correct time to save the life of child.
DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
The invention aims to produce accurate data regarding the child's health. This invention mainly involved to check whether the child is alive or not. Figure. 1 shows the block diagram of the child monitoring system.

The device is controlled by Raspberry pi. The device monitors the child's health condition inside the bore well using sensors mounted in that system by mean of Wireless RF transmitter and receiver. Using the Millimetre wave technology, it detects the heartbeat of the child stucked inside the bore well. Thermal imaging camera used to find the condition of the child. It detects the condition when heat emit from the body. MQ-4 methane gas sensor is used to detect the quantity of methane present inside the borewell. Additionally, we added the 02 oxygen gas sensor which helps to find amount of oxygen content present inside that well. Depending on concentration of methane or toxic gas, the sensors send the data to the Raspberry pi. GVS 5L Oxy-pure medical oxygen concentrator is a device which extract oxygen from atmospheric air. Then at the output range, if the oxygen content is less, the rescuer supply the GVS 5L Oxy-pure medical oxygen concentrator which provides oxygen inside the bore well using hose pipes.
