The invention discloses a process for the stereoselective preparation of a compound of formula IIIwherein R and R' each independently represents a C1-C3 alkyl group; Ar represents dihydro-benzodioxinyl or benzodioxinyl, or phenyl optionally substituted with up to three substituents independently selected from halogen, methoxy, halomethyl, dihalomethy and trihalomethyl.The invention also discloses a compound of formula IVwherein Ar and R are as defined above obtained by reduction of the compound of formula III, process for their preparation and intermediates.
