Choke Position Indicator

Abstract: This invention identifies the choke position in a two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicle. The mechanism is based on a switch sensor to solve the problem of identification of the choke position. A speedometer 100 with a choke indication LED 110 to denote the choke position to a rider is fitted on the front side of the vehicle. The choke indication LED glows continuously 240 or blinks 250 depending on the choke knob contact status 120 and vehicle speed. Thus, indicating the choke position to the rider. If the rider releases the choke knob, the contacts are open and disable the choke indication LED 110. During low battery or no battery conditions, the choke position indication functions based on regulated voltage available from generator after engine starting. The system is also applicable to hybrid vehicles that have an engine and an additional power source like battery or fuel cell.
