TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention describes the special fixture developed to arrest the opening of jet pump to facilitate the Pressure/Leak Test on Front Duct assembly of Light Combat Aircraft.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

Light Combat Aircraft has Front Duct assembly which requires leak/pressure test upto 15 bar before installing on aircraft. It was very difficult to arrest the opening at two places of jet pump due to the Accessibility constraint, high pressure involved and complex shape of Front Duct Assy.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

Opening of Jet pump at two places are blocked by two specially designed fixtures to facilitate the Pressure/Leak test.

PROCESS DETAIL DESCRIPTION

Newly developed special fixture for easy clamping and facilitate Pressure/leak test as follows:

a) Two number Mild Steel rods milled internally (conical shape) at one end to insert inside the jet pump openings.

b) The Other end of Rod is fixed to 4mm thick circular Plate for clamping purpose.

c) Jet Pump openings will be clamped with this special fixture by providing rubber gasket in between to arrest the leak and facilitate the pressure test.
